Do you have a layover in Paris? As long as it's at least four or five hours, you can make it into town to see some things. Six hours in Paris is ideal. (Helpful links below) Just plan for 1.5hrs of travel time between the airport and the city round trip and spend the rest of whatever you have accordingly. Hey Jay, would love to see an updated version of this video. We have a layover in Dec 2023 where our flight gets in around 8:30am and next flight is 6:30pm. Between customs and storing our luggage, I'm thinking we may only have between like 11am and 2:30 to explore the city. Planning to use the RerB to get to and from CDG. Would like to maybe see one or 2 quick/easy things and grab a lunch before heading back. Thanks for your content and would love a video on this subject if possible.

I followed this guide in July 2013 and it was perfect! I would recommend it to anybody and everybody. The second time I was in Paris in July 2015 I had already seen some of the sights so went for a day in the Louvre!

This was so good! You keep upping your game. I love the idea of a separate channel that houses a collection of all your French Friday and travel themed vlogs. Might reach a wider audience, and drive traffic to the rest of your work. You are a very, very good tour guide. You'd be an excellent host for a travel channel of some sort.

I think I move too quickly for traditional guide jobs, haha

It's really good. Not really a work friendly place but good coffee.

Great video, packed with information, as usual. I'd be very interested to hear what you would recommend that someone eat if they are in Paris on a layover. What would be an especially good, while still representative (and ideally not overpriced) place to go for, say, a layover lunch? All the coffee tips are useful and welcome, but I'd love to to know what you'd recommend by way of solds...

So, Jay... you might remember me from a comment I made somewhere a few days ago. I've watched half a dozen of your videos. Cool stuff. Still don't know why you're there. :/

Why I'm in Paris? I think there's a video entitled "Why I'm in Paris" in here somewhere, haha. If that doesn't end up being informative enough, let me know.

@jayswanson do you think that 8 hours are enough? My flight arrives at 10.45 and leaves at 18.45

For sure! Scope things out in advance and give yourself enough of a buffer in case things get tricky =)

If I buy a lot of 10 tickets from the airport can I use them on the metro? I'm planning on going from attraction to attraction. I have a 12 hour layover.
@JaySwanson
@JaySwanson 6 лет назад
You can - but the ticket to get into Paris is different than the carnet 10, so be sure you get both (and buy a round trip from the airport to Paris and back)

Jay Swanson If I've done my research correctly the RER ticket will get me into Paris from CDG and then the metro tickets will get me around Paris by metro, correct? Thanks for replying love your videos man! Thank you, from Canada :)
