Jay Swanson moved to Paris for a job that turned out not to exist on a visa that no one had gotten before. Things worked out somehow and he might just stay forever. I'll switch to first person now, just to throw you off. I'm a sci-fi/fantasy writer who loves making videos and telling stories in any format available. As I dig deeper into the history of Paris to use in my world (fantasy author here) I turn around and share the associated experiences here on my vlog. I vlogged daily for over three years and almost died, so I've dialed that back a bit and now vlog regularly, but not daily. You can support me best via patreon.com/jayswanson

Hi! Good that i found you! Nice vlogs! I am planning to go to paris in the first week of december. We wanted to you to hotel des grands hommes. It is in the street of the Pantheon. If you like walking around typical Parisean streets, do some shopping, nice places to eat, is this a nice area? We are both old and not able to walk for hours. Thanks beforehand!🌷
Pantheon area is wonderful! It's a bit hilly, so just give yourself extra time when walking to reservations, etc, but it's beautiful! I have recommendations of places to eat in that neighborhood at www.parisinmypocket.com :D
@@JaySwanson thanks mate! You should have it printed in a small size travel booklet. I would buy that in a heartbeat. I would prefer that over Printing it yourself. But i am going to check it out, thanks.
Awesome video. The videography was fantastic, and Scotland is so beautiful. That wedding looked amazing. I found the topic spot on. We do need to put ourselves on those situations sometimes to force ourselves to grow. Thanks for the reminder!
Can I agree with you that, as someone who learnt to drive in Britain but live now in Germany, the hardest places to drive are car-parks and exactly because you have no references to help you. On the road and on the Autobahn is relatively straight-forward but car parks are a nightmare as I have to use instinct and even though I have lived in Germany for 17 years my instincts are distinctly still at a base level British so I yield to the left when I encounter a car but they yield to the right which isn't a good recipe. My favourite freak out moment - for a Finnish passenger was when I came to a roundabout in Finland and indicated left which is standard UK driving rules telling the people behind that you will take the third exit. My friend got very worried that I was going to go the wrong way round the roundabout LOL. My tip for making it easier is in Britain get a vehicle with the steering wheel on the correct side for that country as driving with the "wrong-hand" drive is much harder.
Really lovely vlog. I watched it three times. The kiss when he pulled her in extra tight. Sigh. And your commentary, especially your “toast” to your good friend and her partner were wonderfully poignant and heartfelt. Love!!
Thirty quid extra for an upgrade to a Merc? Too damned right- be rude not to! I agree, driving on the other side of the road is a bit mind blowing at first but I get used to it. I quite like driving on the right. That wedding and venue looked amazing!
