the more virulent forms of anti-semitism are mainstream in the left, less so in the right, it might not exactly be fringe there, but it's a much smaller proportion right now, and tends to infect people without systemic power that are less of a threat. The anti-semites on the left seem to enjoy widespread support and apologetics from members of the establishment. Though in the case of Islamists they aren't really easily fit into the left or right and are just one issue voters that form a coalition with left parties. I'm not conservative but I life in a very conservative, rural area, and I feel far safer as a Jew in this community than I would have if this happened while I was still at university.

@@RobertZemeckis2025 As a secular Israeli living in Tel Aviv, my personal opinion is that I don't care where the Jewish state is, but I do agree that Israel was a bad location. Of all the original proposed locations of a Jewish state, I would have chosen Madagascar, but then I obviously wasn't around back then. The facts on the ground now are that the current Jewish homeland IS Israel and even if the Jewish people were wiling to relocate, no one if offering to cede 20k or so square km to establish a new Jewish state in its place. I accept the reality that the Jewish state exists in Israel and until the Arabs learn to accept that fact as well, there will never be peace.
