Ben wanted fresh fish for supper. catch and cook. i am just learning this camera and editing software. its sloppy edit for first time i will get better! stay tuned
Really miss the trapping videos. Found your channel ten years ago after knee replacement surgery. Watching you run your line motivated me to get back into trapping. it had been thirty five years since my last attempt at trapping, sucked at it then and not a lot better at it now. My biggest beaver last year was 63 pounds ! snared 8 off one farm. wishing you all the best in all you do. Going thataway.
As a kid, 60yrs ago, my go to was a red and white like that. My uncle had a farm, N Wis, the creek running through was loaded with northerns, miss that so much. Nothing like spoon fishing northern any age.
Well, one thing for sure Andrew , getting 20,000 views from past followers after a long absence proves that we still enjoy your company.Yep!i could tell by the speed Ben was preparing that meal that he couldn’t wait to get that fish fix!!!😅
Nice video! And nice to see you and Ben, Andrew! Food prices all over Canada have gone foolish. Makes it bad here in our little town on the South Shore of NS we only have one major grocery store. So high prices and no competition. You guys enjoy the rest of your summer. 😊
From the Yoop Northern Michigan. Been watching your channel for over ten years now. Always looking forward to your videos. Love to see some more hunting and fishing videos from up your way. Thanks for sharing.
Nothing better than fresh fish shore lunch.. Here in the midwest , we would pay fry with Andy's Red. Traditionally, by the Mississippi river, its generally catfish.
You are absolutely right about the cost of food inflation even down in southern Canada. You are lucky Andrew in that you have the skills to catch a lot of your food.
Love the channel Andrew. I've been watching since the very beginning. You've come along ways. I've based my RU-vid channel by some of the things I've watched you do over the years. Any way, good to see you catching some pike again. God bless - Trent Gunnell Georgia Exposure
I ordered some Back Eddys from an outlet in the NWT delivered to Nebraska. It was kind of pricey but my curiosity finally got the best of me :) I hope I like it! Everything here in the states is more than it was last year as well. We buy meat when it's on sale and can it or freeze it. I think everyone is struggling with prices.Lots of deer meat and fish in my pantry and freezer. Thanks for the video!!!
Yeah I usually don't buy meat from the store my diet is wild meat. But I do buy hot dogs and the price on them went from $7- $11.99. And those are the cheap ones. I won't buy hot dogs no more.
The BEST dried fish I've ever laid a lip on was native style dried fish with Pike. Looks good there Kemosabe. Rudy's lookin' good and havin' a ball. God bless you, Andrew.
Yeah it’s getting ridiculous with the price of things these days. Certainly incentive to eat more wild food options. Good to see everyone is doing well. Looks like you guys could use some rain. I hope you ge TV some if you need it. Good luck and stay safe out there friend 👍👍
Great to see you back. I hope you never stop posting trapping - hunting - and fishing videos. Your dad great outdoors man also. Or is this man a Native??. ❤ AWESOME ❤
Another awesome video Andrew!!! Last years fire damage is insane, heartbreaking!!! Absolutely love Ross’s outdoor kitchen setup, the view is incredible!!! Looking forward to the next one!!!🎣🫎🍻
Is your season to short to plant a small garden potato's and onions and other short season vegetable's? Short season spuds "Norlands" and onion bulbs only need about 60 days here west central minn to produce, probably not much more up your way do to your longer days. My favorite fish is yellow perch....
Gardening is good but the truth is I just ain't a gardener. Ran 6 rows last summer. Peas carrots potatoes. I couldn't believe how much work and dedication it takes to maintain a garden. It's not for me ha ha. Hats off to anyone who works in the garden.
Great to see you back after pike Andrew! I've been enjoying Back Eddy's for years now thanks to you! I wish it wasn't so expensive to ship it across the border, but it's WELL worth it! I bought a tub of it so it's lasted a while. Goes great on everything just like you said! French fries, hamburgers, roasts, venison, goose, ducks, squirrel, pheasant, chickens.....everything. I still need to cook a beaver tail with Back Eddy's man. I could smell that through the screen!!! Can't wait to see more buddy!
Holy cows that lake looked like tide water, way low for sure. Food, OMG prices are stupid. I live in Washington and people from BC are down here all the time to buy their stuff, food, cloths, etc. As for you new camera, just have to adjust the voice to go with your talking its off by a few seconds. Glad to see you. Tight Line
So happy to have you back making videos. Can you do a video showing how Ben filets the pike and removes the bones. It looks like his way has less waste. I'd like to ty it on my next tip to Lake of The Woods tis summer.
I miss seeing your videos Andrew. I know life and work get in the way but you were a way to keep from going crazy back during the pandemic and something to share and help explain to my then 5 year old grandson. He one home and say are we going to watch Mr Andrew and his dog catching the animals. Fun times with him. We rewatch them but he’s old enough to know that he’s saw it before. Hope you are well. Stay safe and stay blessed. Fans from Colorado
Tasteless is what I think of Walleye also. Being from Minnesota (NE) we catch a lot of Northerns. Was in Hay river 3 years ago. was at the little market down by the end of town and got some great honey and bread. Saw the RCMP horses and riders at the parade grounds. Nice people in hay river. Love your videos.
Great to see you and Ben out fishing!!...and Hay River isn't the only place that groceries are stupid expensive, it's the same here in west-central Arkansas...hopefully things will change for the better after the elections in November!!....you guys stay sage, look forward to your next video From your friend in west-central Arkansas
The best fish ever for smoking with hickory, the oils and flaky texture, turns to a golden colour are just amazing. We used to catch some pretty big ones in northern Alberta.
well andrew you certainly have enough good dry fire wood laying around. every time i see your video's i want to go back up to northern ontario. i went for 36 years and loved every minute of it. getting old and the trip is much harder now. best wishes from kalamazoo, michigan.
would love to fish pike with you guys what a blast ,just went to store ,, 2 small paper bags with basic stuff 130.00 the hole dam world has gone dam goofy, enjoyed the video looking forward to the next be safe guys ......
I picked up some lumber and am building 4 10'x5' raised garden beds for next year. Meant to do it this year but ended up blowing another disc in my back up. But i hear you, cant afford to eat good food unless we grow it ourselves
Hi Andrew. It's great to see you out and about. Pikes are great. I prefer pike over trout from GSL. Stay safe and enjoy your adventures. And yes, food prices are stupid!
Man Andrew I need to come up there the next time I get out of town! I need a get away where I can chill in the mountains catching pike with the possibility of seeing all kinds of wildlife! Thank you so much for sharing these they really are amazing! Keep them coming please!!!
Awesome love watching your videos... and when I first started watching couple years ago.. seen the back eddys...Holy freaking mint.. love it... I have got 8 others on it.. Awesome keep up the good videos... and the food prices down south in manitoba also suck.. all went up... metis proud 🍻
Sure is great to always see your new videos. I love them all, but especially the fishing ones. Should try dipping the fish in haw breakers for taste. Could be good. I see ya have a fresh haircut too. Great to see ya.,
Great video. I’m a pike person too. More flavor. Just take out the bones. They are great for pickling too. Grocery prices here are stupid expensive. That roll of aluminum foil would cost over $10! Pitiful. At least I can grow potatoes and onions to help my bill. Really like your dad’s set up there. Are you getting any rain to fill the lake? Seems it won’t stop down here in Wisconsin. All the best! Ranger Reno
Good to see you, Andrew was worried about you up North. Cheers from a Subscriber Gal from Alberta. Nice Pike ! 👍 Hi to your Dad Ben and Rudy. Stay safe.
Andrew!❤ camera is stellar, I will look into getting now. Pike is an amazing fish and makes the best In land fish Chowder. My preferenfece is brook trout..but for white meat fish..pike is great for texture. I own 154 acres northern ontario that moose casually saunter through with the mule deer...if ever you fixin for some ontario game! Feel blessed you can resource food more than the average Canadian bear 😂 A white lady here with no access to guns makes for some interesting food gathering. Thank God for trapping. If I can get to the animals before the neighbors lol. The grocery prices is the least of our concerns. I'm thrilled you know about gathering as much as trapping!❤❤❤
@@TheWildNorth Fried up a pan of 20 in lake trout and a pan of 20 in walleye trout gone leftover walleye amongst a group who thought walleye was their favorite they were shocked when I told them
