You're so welcome, glad to help! I started making them when I lived in Florida so I completely get it, especially with that added humidity not helping either 😅
Thank you! Glad I can help! Yes all of my supplies are listed and linked in the video description (above) on every video for the supplies used in the that video. But here are those links anyway- Fine Point Squeeze Bottles (18 pk)- amzn.to/3Z9VKzp Apple Barrel Matte Acrylic Paint (18 pk)- amzn.to/3FLrGTW Puffy Paint pack- amzn.to/4821eCd
We use clear acrylic matt spray. It does dull the glitter some. We have started glittering everything. We use clear glitter when we dont want the paint to show without the glitter look. Just matt paint sticks for us when its in the heat or in storage after a week. I think it has some to do with the oils. Oklahoma heat is not kind. Parchment paper does work.
I went to this video bc I wanted to read thru the comments to see if that questioned had been asked bc I am starting up my business and I ordered the oil base paint pens but I Have Not Used them yet sooo do you have any Information on these oil pens or have you used them?? ❤ love your videos so informative thanks for all you do 🎉
Hi what kind of mod podge did you use and for the essential oils from I think something with the name peanut in it van you leave the name and link thanks baby
Thank you for the awesome tips! Does it matter which type of Modge Podge you use? I would imagine I wouldn't want to use the glossy Modge Podge, but no harm in asking 🙂
Thanks for watching! I definitely should've mentioned that, whoops! Yes I used the matte one, glossy will definitely stick just like puffy paint. But the matte was still a lil tacky
Hey Erica! I love your channel. I make candles and am getting ready to add a freshie to my lineup. I’m unsure if I should make them to order or keep them stocked. Do they have a shelf life once they’re made and packaged?
Thanks so much! That's awesome! I keep my popular ones stocked because I know they'll sell and won't sit for long. But all my other ones I make to order so they're getting the "freshest" freshie while the fragrance is strong. I'd say about a month if you still want them to be fragrant but I've personally used some that I had sitting for about 2 months in my own car and the scent was still there. I think it kind of depends on the fragrance oil you're using, the packaging, and how you're storing them also. Hope this helps!
I have a problem with some of my freshies. I make them all the same but sometimes they melt too much on top and bottom but the middle is not melted and fall out. What do I do?. PLEASE HELP
Have you worked with paint pens? I chose to use them because mine is a classroom business and it is less messy than paint. I have had problems with them not drying or being tacky. Any suggestions suggestions?
What cooking spray do you use to keep your freshies from sticking to the cookie cutters? I'm having an issue finding one that works but doesn't leave any yellow tinge to the freshie.
I want to ask a question please! I used to be an artist and paint with acrylic paint and I was taught to use hair spray for the finished painting to protect my paintings, Other artist taught me this. Maybe it will work on our freshies to keep them from sticking to the bag?
Not a bad idea, definitely worth a try. My only concerns are that the hairspray will take away from the scent of the freshie and that hairspray is highly flammable and it gets really hot in cars during warmer months.
@@CreativelyEricathe hot cars concerned me too when I first heard of this, but when you hairspray your hair it doesn’t catch on fire from being in the heat, so I wonder if a light spray would be ok if you imagine it like being hair
I can't even get my beads to work, I've had it in fragrance for at least 6 months. I have added so many beads to try and soak the fragrance up but nothing is working. Do you think it's my dark amber jars? You put in so much of your time I don't know how you make any profit. Unless u don't count your time.
6 months?! 😲 girl those are trash now, I would start over. Could be the amber jar, could be cheap beads, could be cheap oil, or maybe you just used too much oil. Certain oils are thicker (like most vanillas) so I use less of that oil knowing it takes longer to absorb. Also, aroma beads only absorb apx 30% of their weight total, so after they've soaked up all they can, the excess oil just sits in the jar- not allowing them to fully dry/cure. I calculate for my time for sure lol, my freshies go pretty seamlessly at this point so they don't take too long. Decorating is the longest part for me but the longer I take to decorate/the more decorated the freshie, the more I charge for them.
