My wish as an exo-l is to have at least one last winter album before they stop promoting it would be the best present they will ever give

I"ve always thought of it as everyone living in their own tangled worlds at first and you can't see how to free yourself. However if you rely on each other and help each other out, you can find happyness and meaning. ^^ Kind of like how the coffee is black at first (isolated) and the milk comes in, blending into the coffee and becoming something new and better. I think so cause at that part, the strings break around Kai like two old friends meeting together. That's also at the end, all the Exo members being happy and smiling and sharing their coffee. Some with milk, some black but all connected. :)

The album for this song is one of my favorite mini albums by EXO.

The Universe winter album will always be one of my fav kpop albums. All the songs on it have this unique, calming vibe. This album is like a warm hug on a cold winter day.

I never thought about universe when I heard suho's album but now that you are mentioning , I can completely feel you. The instrumentals and vibe of the song are really similar to suho's album especially let's love. It really gives the same feel. And maybe that's why this mini album and suho's one are of my favorites among whole exo discography.

For future reference: Lay hasn't been in any EXO release since the Lotto era in late 2016 (with the exception of Tempo in 2018)

The music video has a theory which is symbolising the unfinished coffee in the cups as the trials and the experiments they do to succeed but they are not satisfied yet. The huge complicated ball of thread symbolises just their complicated life of trying out different ways to succeed. Then after the bridge comes they finally found the right way for them! You can see the boys finally smiling and drinking their coffee while chatting and the complicated painting became a straight line painting and every thing became clear for them they found the perfect coffee (way to succeed) for them!

The first time I listened to Universe I legitimately bawled my eyes out, even more so when I listened while reading the lyrics. It took me months and months before I can listen to it again without tearing up because the music and their vocals evoke such emotions it's incredible. I'm watching this again and trying very hard not to cry. I hope you, Ben and the one reading this comment, get to listen and read the lyrics at the same time because it's just so, so moving. Exo's music is definitely on a different level. Thanks Ben for another great reaction!

This is a great reaction as usual. I get what you mean, the song definitely makes me feel ‘spiritually fed’. I don’t what it is about this song vs the rest of the 8 member songs but it makes me really miss Yixing (Lay) more than usual (I always miss him tho he’s me bias). I never really looked at the lyrics super because I really am happy just listening, but from the ‘feel’ of it, I’ve always perceived it as willing to do anything for the people/person you care about.

coffee is like humans life and also members are wearing brown all over the music video to be like coffee beans if you add more milk to your coffee (like one of the scenes) it will not be more sweet or less bitter but when you expect it how it is and people stay together (like when it shows the half full cup with exo logo on table) it will feel beter and that's how we can feel full (the cup is full in the last time it is shown) at the beginning kai is surrounded by different glasses but non is what he wants but after the lights are turned on he starts to like it the first time sehun looked at the photo it was full of ties but in the ens he could see the black spot clearly so it was not confusing any more why am i typing every thing so long?
