Freshwater Anchor Features and Tips 

Is it different to anchor in fresh than in salt?? We know so little about anchoring, we are learning as we go and in a couple weeks are posting our video about the time that we had to ABANDON the boat anchor! Sailing has been a huge learning curve so far as we start our journey around the world and videos like this are a great help!

What type of anchor should be used for anchoring a small inflatable boat on a rocky shore, like the shores of Lake Tahoe, CA?

If I can afford a boat like that, I would buy an electric anchor winch.

You need at least 3-4 feet of chain to keep anchor down with current. Just rope will not keep it down. The rope will float to much.

I was told that you want 1 foot of chain for every 1 foot of boat
