Jim is such a shy dude, but when he’s playing, that shyness is nowhere to be seen. Beast. (He doesn’t have his hair hiding his face here, so he’s getting more confident. Which makes me happy.)
fluffytoaster427 Probably gonna be the same price as his black Jazzmaster. And if you want a sandblasted Tele I know a music shop in Miami that has had one in stock for a couple years, I don't know if they would ship, but you can always try. The place is called Musician's Discount Center.
It's kinda the same situation with Custer. Jim: "Can anyone give us an idea on a good intro riff?" Shawn: "What about this one? T t ta t t ta t t ta ta ta..Tt ta tt ta tt tatata" Mick: "...Clown, you're a genius."
Now this is how you teach a fucking song! This isnt a bias i swear (full disclosure: Huge fan), ive always loved videos that show close up the whole song, uninterupted, then explain. This way, people like myself who can learn songs by watching, and those who need the tabs (me too) or to have it explained, have that as well. I didnt realize this song was so simple but dear god it sounds sooo good on my amp LOVE YOU FUCKING MAGGOTS! GG
Yeah im not a huge fan of there whatever you would call there look- but there riffs are some of the best i really like the sound so freakin dark and tight- what is the top of the guitar laser etched mahogany ?
I don't know how to play guitar and not knowing much stuff bout amps and pedals, i came here to watch my fav member of Slipknot play and his *SIC* guitars.
Michael Norris That moment when you don't understand the comment you're replying to. Watching Jim's lessons made me realize how wrong the tabs out there are!! WOW. Derpy derp... woops!?!?! Now respond with a "Well your comment didn't SPECIFY so my slow ass could understand"
Michael Norris Wait had to re-read my comment and I just realized how dumb this comment was. So my wife also didn't understand my comment which made me re-evaluate it and understand why someone would misunderstand. See in my head I thought saying "Every tab is wrong" would not imply a video lesson as the topic of my frustration. Especially one that does not supply the tab as far as I can tell lol.. So forgive me for not elaborating? ... Wow my comments make me seem like I'm triggered... huh....
I don't even play guitar and have absolutely no intention of trying to play this on the instrument - I'm just here to watch a master of their craft show how it's done! Jim is the man
My favorite ear pleasing part of "The Devil In I" is the little bitty twang we hear near the end when it goes "nahnahnah tang putta tang" right before Corey signals the end of the song. To me that bitty part is what will or has made it a nostalgia song. It just with me, it hits a emotional sweet spot.
One of the only people I know that can tune down to drop B on six strings and have it sound good. Not to mention, he also fuckin rocks on a Fender. Great work over the years Jim
After over 18 years of playing guitar, and over 15 years of listening slipknot records and live... I can definitely say i could jam with you Jim... I'd like a lot and i think it should be funny... but you're what you are and i'm just what i'am....so it's just a dream man!!! ahahaha
