I still have no clue why majority of the people still hate this album. Especially the drums and guitars were just absolutely nuts on this album. This song, Custer, the negative one, devil in I, SARCOSTROPHE. People talk some songs being underrated in an album, for me this entire album is under-rated
@@bradylasserre9320 It was not hatred in terms of comments in the youtube, but people outside were making some comments. They couldn't get over the fact that Slipknot let go of Joey Jordison. They couldn't get on with the fact that Jay had played exceptionally well for his first album in Slipknot. People were like "Oh how much jay tries he couldn't fill Joey's shoes in this album" and I was getting sick of hearing it..!! And Alex venturri as well didn't get the credits he deserved, cause people were all about the legendary Paul Gray. They couldn't digest the fact the Alex had come to fill his place. Hence some people especially some maggots were not happy with this album and were complaining !!! That is the reason I said this is highly an under-rated album
Jay's drumming was hugely underrated in this album, you can hear all the nuances and the rudiments he added which make it beautiful. And here you can see how the guitars were MASSIVELY underrated!
Exactly what I was saying . I was intimidated by all out life and Solway Firth guitar wise but they turned out to be pretty damn easy and one of the most fun songs I've ever tried to learn to play period. Especially Solway Firth that's got some killer easy riffs. Just started learning guitar and bass couple months back and I'm surprised when I just started learning some Slipknot Stuff couple days ago on guitar that a good majority of their big songs are pretty damn easy but just powerful enough to think for so long that I thought they would be very complicated to play lol. Seems that Jim and Mick are master's at writing intimidating mean riffs , I'd like to call them False Bear charge riffs lol scary AF tactic to intimidate someone but most of the time it's a scare tactic where they weren't gonna do anything to begin with unless you showed fear
there's "Sand Blasted" Series, very limited run, its also done to standard tele and strat, so technically, this's not Jim's signature (by the finish, not the model, the model's his signature, but technically the looks doesn't make it his signature) The only main difference that the one he's playing from the original Sand Blasted series is, the original sand blasted series is a lot brighter, that's it
Here I am trying to genuinely learn a song for once after being lazy for days but all I end up with is just me staring at the screen in awe. Love this man and love this song but I might just listen for now.
I wish he or mick would do one for Sarcastrophe.... i mean, yeah I kinda got most of it already... but i just like seeing them play it... i can't help that I'm a dork for these dudes lol
She's sticking needles in her skin I turn with an ugly grin Her canvas doesn't leave a lot, to fantasy But her peace of mind, can't stay inside the lines It's so, confusing, the methods that she's using She knows she shouldn't leave a mark, that I can see Will she ever find one million of a kind? It's cold and lonely but that's because she told me Lost inside her dirty world No one hurts this pretty girl but her... Oh, she's beautiful A little better than a man deserves You are not insane Please tell me she won't change [Chorus:] Maybe I should let her go But only when she loves me (she loves me) How can I just let her go? Not until she loves me (she loves me) She's drowning in herself again My god what a lovely sin I guess there's nothing left to do, but have my way She can feel it's right, so she doesn't close her eyes She smiles and answers, it doesn't seem to matter Lost inside my dirty head Something tells me I'm the one who's kept Oh, so volatile A little better than a man defiled Oh I need the pain Please tell me she won't change [Chorus] We were meant to be together Now die and f*cking love me We were meant to hurt each other Now die and f*cking love me Die and f*cking love me Die and f*cking love me Die and f*cking love me
The sexy body on that guitar almost reminds me of something that came right off of a door or wall from the Evil Dead house. It looks so unfinished or something, just smoothed over so it doesn't tear up his hand playing it. Bad ass!
They don’t make them but they did make standard teles with that finish and I think strays that you can find. Red ones are still more rare than the blue ones though
It humors me, Jim. I am sorry you and your artist's group succumbed to remove the galloping during the chorus structure of 2014's "Killpop." When I hum the piece, I have always hummed it exactly as you played it here. It humors me that I have always hummed it the way you intended despite that not being what is featured on the sudio record. Also, I 100% approve of your personality, as others here seem to have. You wrote the instrumentation and so you perform it how you like. At least, outside of the studio piece as that is a group collaborative effort and you pushin' too strong for horse hooves may leave ya' unemployed! :( "I wrote the piece and there's gonna be horse hooves." Giddyup!
Can I just have Jim and his Guitar in my bedroom......all the time. LOL! He is just so adorable. Love how his eyes light up when he talks about what he is doing with each section. Love this guy!
He did something to the section two on the first 16 notes, the first time he does it with hammers and pulls but when he explain it slow he does it with alternate and also adds some notes that actually seem to not match at all with what he played first. Im... Going to study it this week' to know what did he exactly changed lol
