Finally this turns up in great quality after almost 40 years. One of my favourite Frida solo tracks and I think, the only time she performed it (albeit lipsynched).
A poem by Dorothy Parker (1893-1967), writer, satirist, and founding member of the Algonquin Round Table, set to music by Per Gessle, the eventual male half of Roxette!
Same here. I was always an ABBA fan since hearing Dancing Queen and Waterloo on the radio when I was a young teen in the mid 70's. Frida was always my favorite. I bought a 45rpm of 'I know there's something going on' in the early 80's. 'Threnody' was on the flip side.
I HAD THE ALBUM, and NEVER LISTENED TO THIS when I was a kid. How and WHY was I such a BONEHEAD? It was a couple of months ago when I gavr the album a proper listen...and I was blown away. Before that...I thought it was a one hit wonder. Now I've decided, I like the majority of the album.
Beautiful as always! This was on the B side of I Know There's Something Going On. I don't remember which side got scratched more, as I love both songs and played them over and over again.
