Daisuki Gori's suicide due to him losing his vision was super sad :( If you watched him in Patlabor (where they drew his character around him his voice actor) he was a super nice, gentle sounding guy.
Eh, bored so let me correct a few things I noticed even though this video is super old. -Matt is upset about Jin being a bad guy and losing his moveset, well the twist in Tekken 6 is (Spoilers?) is that at the end of Scenario campaign it turns out Jin actually baited the world into the war to force an ancient evil to awaken (Azazel) and Jin and Azazel were to fight each other to the death, destroying both the devil gene and Azazel at the same time. So although he seemed evil he was more of a well-intentioned extremist than anything. Jin was still a good guy. -Jin losing his moveset was because Jin was pretty much a Kazuya clone in Tekken 3, when Kazuya came back in Tekken 4 Jin had to be given a new moveset as Namco didn't want two 1:1 Mishima clones. Plus they gave it a really good plot reasoning too. -Miharu is XIaoyu's friend that appears in almost all of her endings, they have the same fighting style. -Kuma never took over the Mishima Zaibatsu canonicaly, although he does in his endings. -Jinpachi does indeed have bullshit but mostly because he has great simple tools and is fairly easy to use. -True Ogre and Ancient Ogre are both considered to be on the lower side of the tier list despite being boss characters -Dragunov's style is Sambo, a Russian military martial art that is similar to Krav Maga, no frills, and deadly efficient involving a lot of grapples with Japanese influences. -Devil Jin is more of a whole new moveset than Jin from Tekken 3; he's also top tier. -Not knowing your character is indeed a death sentence, this game is the hardest to get away with in just mashing randomly. -King's ending in Tekken 4 is canonical although he did not win the tournament in Tekken 4, he beat Marduk in the tournament and was about to kill him but decided not to give into revenge when he saw a picture of Marduk's family, and they reconciled afterwards.
Wow, is Matt full of shit on that definition for what makes a game good. Ignoring that sales have arguably more to do with marketing and word of mouth than it does quality, and that critical reception that be bought -- although the latter in particular applies more to games of the last ten years ago or so than it did way back when -- you can't use critical reception as a gauge for games years apart, because the ratings occurred in the time the games in question came out; *when Tekken 3 released, none of the games that came out after it existed to compare it to*. This isn't a commentary on the quality of Tekken 3 compared to now, or any game, but god damn was that reasoning stupid.
I don't know anything about Tekken other than the fact that holy shit is Devil Jin so goddamn dull, but it's been half an hour and there is a DINOSAUR IN THE CHARACTER SELECT and NOBODY has picked it yet. I THOUGHT YOU GUYS WERE COOL. ;_;
I agree with Matt on the whole Jin becoming a huge asshole,but I didn't play Tekken 3 so i don't know if he was an asshole day 1 like Pat said or steadily as time went Namco just decided to turn him into an asshole at the end of Tekken 6,anyways that's not my problem with this game,my problem is in other tag team based fighting games,when one character gets KO'ed,the other character jumps in and continues the fight,but in this game,one character gets KO'ed,it's end of the round which is bullshit in my honest opinion.
I fucking hate how Tekken Tag was booted of the roster at Evo, for being "Out- Dated". Yet they push shit like: *Super Street Fighter Ultra Hyper Plasma Edition: Part 7*
Also, Sorry, Woolie's right, TTT2 is best. Then T6, then TTT then Tekken 3. 3's just the one most people remember the best. And the one most people got because it was new and innovative and got people into the scene. But they're all badass.

I have no confidence in my skills except for the Tekken.series. It did my heart some good to see you guys play a game I could whoop your asses at. I'd get bodied at everything else.
Once I mastered King's chain throws, I made a point of never throwing with him. Unless I picked Marduk as his tag partner. Then I only used his command tag throws :)
Tekken was my first fighting game, and I've been a player since Tekken 2. Once I get a new TV I'm going to spend another 500ish hours on TTT2. Thanks for playing this game dudes, it'll be a treat to watch.

I always was under the impression they hated Tekken. As Tekken is most of the time a game that gets crapped on. Ps. Ive never had my PS3 version of TTT2 freezing.

Jin's new movelist is awesome. He used to be just a hybrid clone of Mishima/Kazuma, now he has his own identity with unique combos and technical parrying.
Inferred? The final boss fight in this game literally confirms Jun is Unknown. Even in the first Tag it was so obvious considering she had the same animations and shit. I'm still wondering what happened to that dumb werewolf ghost thing though.

I really think TTT2 is one of the best in the series (My personal favorite(s) being a tie between 2 and 3) And it's a good thing this is a fighting game, because they sound ready to whoop pat's ass at the beginning there, heh. I met the guy they based Eddie Gordo he was really nice( he was teaching dance classes) he showed us some of his sick capoeira moves. After that there was a pause and i said "eddie's moves are so cheap and awesome" he laughed and just replied. "Yeah". All in all that was a cool day!
