I know I'm 4 years late, but fighting the Hydra was actually surprisingly easy with my Azorius Control deck. I just durdled around for a few turns, cast Supreme Verdict and won.
Mark Rosewater has said they felt that due to the Clash of the Titans line "Release the Kraken!", a plane full of Greek myth tropes had to have Krakens
I like the Gary refrence. There is a Moonblood merchant in Dust: An Elysian Tail who I called Alan becasue he minds me of my friend Alan when he roleplays. That mcerhant will always be Alan to me. XD
Man this hydra fighting game day seems really fun, I wish I didn’t miss it. Is there anything like it in modern day magic(you know a special battle against a comic shop for prizes or just fun)? I mean if the world wasn’t on fire right now
A question, from a beginner player: when an attacking creature is blocked by multiple creatures, is it the controller of the attacker the one who decides in which order those blockers are to be fought?
Well... maybe not in real life.. but in Tabletop Simulator, you can. People have made a crapton of MTG related mods there (and there's one called Magic the Gathering Hydra deck
No lie, there is a two handed albino milk snake in Florida. The condition is known as Polycephaly and occurs when monozygotic twins fail to separate completely. Most organisms with this condition will not live for long, but occasionally you will get cases like this one, where the snake(s?) seem healthy enough and can live for years. The heads act independently of one another, and will fight over food given the opportunity. Thumbs up please so they can see please!!!
According to the special rules on the playmat of the Hydra Deck. If the Hydra would be dealt damage or lose life you instead deal said amount to a target head of your choice. So Gray Merchant should work on the Hydra.
As an MMO player, I live for the raids, and as such I have been preparing for the Hydra since day 1. My friends, sadly, have not, so it looks like I'll be going at this alone -.- Oh well, between my ridiculous amounts of creature removals, Spellheart Chimeras, and Elemental creature tokens, I have a feeling the hydra won't be too much of a problem.
So as a filthy casual Arena player must say a mini story mode like that looks like a lot of fun. I hope they can put something like that in when they figure out multiplayer.
Yes. The defending player gets to assign who is blocking whom, but in the event that multiple creatures are assigned to block one attacking creature the attacking player gets to decide where the damage is assigned first.
So... Friday Night's has a story. You guys actually have a story now... Like... with plot points and things that happen chronologically. My little LRR is growing up.
surprisingly... it is common mutation for a snake to be born with two heads like the nessian asp. usually they do not live for very long, but sometimes they live full lives with two heads.
I'm 99% sure they use MSE (Magic Set Editor) it's a program where you can essentially make your own cards, you add the wording, the picture, the mana cost, and anything else.
