On the eggs, a good way to tell if they are bad before you crack them... Drop it in a glass of water (a clear glass is better but not necessary)...... If it sinks to the bottom and lays flat on it's side.....the egg is still fresh. If it sinks to the bottom but stands on it's end....it's going bad and should be cooked soon. If it floats to the top......it's bad and just throw it out.
Man, with the way restaurant and takeout prices have been skyrocketing, you're helping us out by showing how to eat well without it being too much of a hassle. Much love
These are absolutely delicious. Also used your smoked ribs recipe for the 5th time today & that's the only way I cook my ribs & shrimp now! Thank you so much for your expertise & delicious recipes.
Hi Chelf! I searched all of your videos for a fried shrimp recipe with no avail. So I had to try something else. Now that I did, you put up a fried shrimp recipe. Guess what? I am purchasing more shrimp and will try your recipe. I love me some fried shrimp. So happy to see this recipe, thank you for every one you post. (smiling)
I buy every seasoning you suggest. I moved away from my family and that good south Georgia cooking about 15 years ago. Every time I watch one of your videos I can smell my Big Mama's house. Keep it up sir.
Watching from Malawi. Africa. That tip to break the eggs separately is what i was taught at school in home economics class, jst to add on what you were told you need to have like 2 seperate bowl, 1 st bowl you break the egg in if its okey you drop it in the next bowl, you break another in the first bowl if its okey you drop it where another good egg is coz even when you break separate but are all dropped in one bowl then when one is bad you spoil the other eggs. When ever i teach someone to cook i always tell them that. I have watched several of your videos today and you have shown your appreciation to that subscriber thats great.
got my Creole Kick today,I've had possibly every Cajun and Creole seasoning ever made,Creole Kick is by far HANDS DOWN THE BEST! thanks for recommending it AB!

I have been well aware of cracking your egg in separate bowl, for years. But, I never cracked open a bad egg. After over 40+ years of cooking, the bad egg finally got me. I was preparing pancake batter. Learned my lesson.
Never made fried shrimp but I remember my mom used to make me peel and devein at the sink when I was younger 😩 😂 this looks very simple I’m super excited to try!
Maaaan AB, you need ya own show baby, I made ya Shrimp & Grits, 1st time I ever made Grits, my Family ate it all, waiting for me to make it again. Now with these Shrimps Ima make & your Fried Chicken, I Ain't Neva gonna get out the Kitchen Now..Lolz, thanks for sharing!
Thanks AB. Just fried some shrimp, made homemade coleslaw and some crinkle cuts...made some cocktail sauce and some honey hot ketchup. Bad but banging COVID lunch...if I was in office I wld probably be eating a tuna sandwich. Oh no. Lol
I am from south Louisiana and this looks wonderful. I use Tony Chacheres seasong. Will have to look for this one. I put my shrimp in the eggs and creole seasoning and leave for a few hours in the fridge. Then i use whole wheat flour to dredge the shrimp in. Not always i also use louisiana fish fry but have never used just flour.
Thanks, AB! Man, I never thought about putting my red pepper in the egg mix. I was told never fry red pepper because it would turn your batter dark before the food was done.
@@SmokinandGrillinwithAB Will be looking forward to it. I'm originally from Compton,, CA. moved here to Nigeria last year October. Missing so much of the food but your channel helps me feel right at home. More grace to you!
Omg AB!!! I tried this yesterday with your catfish and hushpuppies. Let me just say wasn't enough for seconds! Thank you for showing a hit meal for our family!!
AB,I use a breading bowl! It makes breading so much faster and simplify the breading process all together. I use a ziplock bag for my liquid as well. And no messy hands! 😁Great video as always my friend!!!
