Cool stuff! I just got the pedal, looking forward to dialing in some tones. I’ll try your Runnin’ settings, sounds great! Remember to detune that B string for running’ with the Devil. It makes a huge difference, all the difference in the world really. And you can do a little rake across the strings above the nut before the main riff. Keep up the good work, sounding really good. Thank you!🤘🏻🔥🎸😝
Exellent video.... very nice guitar playing...you left out one little big item ...the trim pot inside the unit...perhaps that's a video altogether...possibilities are alot using different settings on that booger inside the unit..thanks for the vid.
Awesome playing!.... Though I think you would have gotten a better sound for most of these examples if you had used guitars and pickups more well suited to high gain sounds, as it is, it comes off a bit harsh and dry sounding.
Thanks man ! Amazing playing and great sound. That weezer part took me back to high school :) How would you evaluate the impact of running it into a tube amp ? With the current situation I can't find new tubes more my engl preamp... so I'm thinking about switching to a pedal until better days. I'm scared it's gonna be dull and disapointing to run it into my tech21 powered cab (solid state). Did you try it in different contexts ?
Great demo and wicked playing! Would have wanted to hear some demos with a thicker LP style guitar with Seymour Duncan humbuckers or similar (which would cater for a lot of players like me). Sounded a bit harsh on the super strats. Still A+
Thanks to this video, I bought one :) and it sounds awesome I love this pedal so much The only problem is that is very very noisy But it makes you feel like an 80s Hard Rock Star :)
Really nice demo, enjoyed it :-) I'd would love to see one of the MXR EVH 5150 pedal if you have one - similar kind of pedal to the BE-OD. How are you getting the audio from the amp to your interface? Is the amp mic'd up? Or it has an amp sim output?
Tried all your settings and trim pot setting. Sounded terrible through my clean sound on my PRS Archon combo with my Jackson using 59 and JBs. Are you using an 18v adapter ? That’s my only guess because I am using a 9v. Can of bees
SaintsCheat Pedals will never sound the same through different amps, and bear in mind that my guitars have Lace Sensor pickups. Just play around with the settings to find the sweet spots, it’s the best way to find the optimal tones. I have different settings on the pedal now too, considering that I bought a pedalboard switcher after making this demo, which shortened my signal chain to give me a stronger sound with more presence. So just experiment, and ensure that you have a buffer in your chain if you’re using loads of pedals and lots of cabling. Hope that helps 🙂
Elliot Stent thank you for the reply, however, were you using a 9v or 18v power supply to the pedal? Thanks in advance, and I have messed with the settings with my amps eq all at noon. Sounds really bad to me no matter what. But I don’t want to get an 18v if you were only using a 9v.
SaintsCheat I power my BE-OD with 9V, but I guess you can try it with 18V if the sound you’re getting is over-compressed, it’ll give you more headroom 👍 Either that or your pedal is faulty, not many people say it sounds bad!
this pedal has a good sound but it have a really really bad problem that I never face before.. It sounds always cutting in and out that other pedals never have that issue even the cheap pedals... And that problem is not from the bad cables, power problem or anything but it comes from the pedal itself... do you have the problem too?
hanten10 - I don’t have that issue with my pedal, so yours might be faulty. I’d recommend contacting Friedman or the retailer you bought it from, you could still have a valid warranty.
Thanks Samuel! I basically use the noise gate built into my Line 6 M5, as most of the noise caused in my setup comes from my amp's effects loop. So the M5 is always running with the noise gate on in the loop, which really helps in keeping the noise down, although of course there are better pedals that can do that such as the ISP Decimator units. Hope this helps man :)
reza khan Hey man, appreciate your comment! :) Just to let you know, my two Stratocasters have a Lace Sensor Red pickup installed in the bridge position, which is essentially a humbucker :) 👍
Elliot Stent I have seen that brother. Laces are humbucking but I thought maybe a full size humbucking pickup would give you a better output to use with the pedal. :)
