This is an option I am aware of and does somewhat offset the issue. Problem is that my audio isn't much different than what I am picking up from the others in discord. Not much room for error or I wind up not having my voice picked up. :(
This does not fix the true issue in the first place. The mic is manually muted, and it still picks up audio. Meaning that it is directly picking up system sounds and not something from your mic only. That is kinda the thing I want a fix for. Your solution only works if I basically have youtube stuff playing at a volume that I myself can no longer hear. Discord should not be using those sounds to begin with, and I've spent such a long time just trying to find someone who can fix the software issue, not just "how to make it a bit less bothersome... maybe"
I found a fix! after all this time ( 1 year) that I always had to listen things at minimum so my mates don't hear what I'm looking at, I decided to go on google and search this for the 100th time, and I found myself stumbling upon someone saying that the realtek driver is the problem, and I disabled it, and restarted my pc, I couldn't even hear anything and y mic was not working, enabled it back, and I saw that I have 3 drivers, which was weird, I had realtek, nvidia high definition and I think the standard windows one, and I disabled the nvidia high definition driver, and it's fixed, thank ****ing god! it wasn't even that hard, and I've searched for this fix for so long and no one said anything, if you have nvidia driver for sounds, disable it, if you don't disable them one by one, DO NOT UNINSTALL, and see what you get!
@@Jordan-iu4vb Go to device manager and in sound video section there will be 3 Nvidia sound drivers.. Disable all the three..... Do this if you have another driver like Realtek or something. And if not download Realtek drivers and do this..
This problem shouldnt even be happening in the first place, my physical mic switch is muted and my voice doesnt go through which is correct, but how and why is discord sending my desktop audio through so my friends hear...
Great question that none of us have found out because that's the whole point of this video a solution to a problem with an unknown cause. If I knew how to totally fix it then I would've shown in the video
@@Th3RedMan not a good solution tbh, my audio fills up the whole bar unless muted for some reason, and if my mic is muted and audio off shit still plays
Sir while i connect myself to voice channel on my pc discord, i cant hear any other app audio, like youtube video's sound, or game sound, and as soon as i disconnect the voice channel i can hear them, sir plz tell what to do
To anyone else, I figured this out, at least on my specific headset. It has P2 ports that connect to a USB sound card. The problem was that whenever I muted the headset through the physical switch, it'd start to playback my PC sound. So I either had to do this kind of fix (which'd require me to speak louder) or start to only mute through Discord.
well i did what you said but no matter how I manipulate that bar, everything gets heared. Even though the spike of the audio doesn't reach the manipulated bar
I think i just a found the easy solution to our problems with discord mixing the audio, first type realtek audio console in window bar, then go to device advance settings and then click separate all input jacks under the recording device section, now your mic wont pic up video, game or other ppl speaking and play it back to them
I had the same problem even when my mic was muted this was the only way I could find that worked for me so I'm not to sure but I can do some more research later if you dknt find anything
bro i am using a splitter and my pc giving internal audio to the person sitting in vc even when i am not using microphone i am not able to solve this problem plss helppp
Right Click on your Speaker Icon on your taskbar > Sounds > Recording Tab > Double Click on the Mic you are using > Advance Tab > Check "Enable Audio Enhancements" This worked for me.
it worked for a little on my vc yesterday but whenever i got into a new one it stopped working for some reason and I had the same settings on and the same song
Sir while i connect myself to voice channel on my pc discord, i cant hear any other app audio, like youtube video's sound, or game sound, and as soon as i disconnect the voice channel i can hear them, sir plz tell what to do
my problem is that they hear my game while in call and the game is quite loud so I would have to lower the sensitivity to the point where they wont hear me
Okay.. its not working for me. though i have two sound options set up (speakers and headset).. ive tried using both of those and default and i still dont see the sounds playing like yours does.. Help!!
doesn't work. asking this makes me feel stupid but why is it like this? like ppl can hear everything through ur mic. is it like when u bought ur pc they gave u a choice to choose headphones or speaker?
Bro, I have a problem that I can hear my friend's voice but he can't hear my voice even if the green light near our logo keeps blinking PLEASE HELP ME ....I NEED IT URGENTLY

Hey you should check out this forum for people having this problem. If you scroll down a little you will see a fix that seems it worked for most people that tried it. I am having this issue but I dont talk louder than my in game audio. This can not be normal operation. I have noticed that Every single vid that has this issue has realtek drivers. Starting to wonder if this is a realtek issue!?!?
mine legit fills the whole bar when anything plays mine legit fills the whole bar when anything plays mine legit fills the whole bar when anything plays
How do i fix the call no sound thing like When i call somebody talks but i don't hear them at all. There is sound in other places but in discord calls like i can't hear anyone
I got this proeprly fixed! but had to do more. I disabled nvidia drivers and only kept intel and realtek active. This didnt resolve either. I then went to discord and changed the audio settings for noise suppresion to krisp as well as turned on attenuation when i speak jsut below. Seems to now be sorted, spent hours trying to sort this :')
it's a solution to a symptom but the underlying problem is not fixed. you should not have the system sounds mixed in with your microphone input, what is this windows bullshittery again, dear microsoft!?
I tried everything like every tutorial i see on yt and none work but i think god decided to love me and show me this video tysm But sadly i cant talk to my friends from valorant vc bc it still echo there
alright so whenever i talk my auido mutes and now my auido is just fucking muted forever and ive tryed restarting my pc uninstalling discord FUCKING EVERYTHING can somebody just help me?
I have followed steps, but unfortunately the problem still exists. All sound from Windows, browser, etc. is transferred to Discord. I have a Logitech headset with USB sound card, unfortunately the error also occurs when I plug into the onboard sound card and I use Win 11. Does anyone else have any ideas?
That doesn't fix the issue you are still getting feed back you are just covering it up with push-to-talk. And even then it will still some times go through because its a feedback issue. Honestly I haven't even found a true fix except for switching from a wired headset to a USB headset or using a different computer to TV to watch videos rather than the one with discord open etc.
