This blessed me. Especially about staying connected because of blood. And allowing other family members to make me feel guilty because I choose peace over being in a toxic relationship.

Great podcast! I don’t deal with my half sister. Her mom poisoned that situation and my father never promoted it. My mom was married to my father and the mom her mom was a home wrecker and she has never taken accountability for her behavior. She is now in prison for taking the life of another person and cause he didn’t want her. This man was married who she murdered. My sister she has hatred towards me. I let go and let God. It’s not my problem to try to mend that toxic situation. I protect my peace and stay blessed over in my area. I will not allow toxicity to manifest over here. My father’s side of the family they’re the most toxic ever and lack accountability. These were the same aunts and uncles who allowed bad behaviors to happen. I was almost killed by a cousin and he never was held accountable for it.

I know God led me to this video.❤ I am the oldest sibling and the only girl. I was about to give all my background n business in this comment lol. But to put it short some younger siblings actually owe apologies to their older siblings. When you all grow up in a home of abuse there is no person that should be pointed at or looked at it harder than the parents. Unfortunately that's not always the case. I am definitely friends with my youngest sibling but the one in the middle and I do not at all speak. A lot of truth about how they felt about me came out after our mother died. I'm actually grateful to learn the truth. No longer living a lie. To be honest I don't need the apology anymore. I was just making a point that it goes both ways or at least it should.

You're right. It can definitely go both ways. Parents have a lot to do with sibling dynamics. Sorry you are experiencing that with your sibling. 🙏🏽

Me too. Grew up with narcissistic parents that are church goers. I stayed connected since I’m oldest girl and became 2nd mom. They keep up the toxicity and don’t confront the wrong. I call it out and now I’m the villain. I’ve went low contact.

Yes, family of 8 - 1st set of 5 and 2nd set of 3 kids. The older kids referred to us last 3 kids as “those last 3” lol 🤦🏾‍♀️ … so much toxicity…

This was good! My sister and I are not besties but we do have a close relationship and we do share some of the same values. Both of our older siblings were raised in a different time in our parents life. It's true that I had to respect her as an adult. There are still some kinks but we do work through most of them. Thank you for this. I still may need a session though.

I’m the older sibling but this podcast was backwards for me. I have always craved the relationship with my younger sibling, but he never wanted to be my friend or respect me. He bullied me so far to physical abuse. I never tried to be the mom or anything I always wanted to be his friend. I always wanted to be close to him , he was the one causing my mom hurt , causing my grandparents hurt and everyone one else in his way. I hate I can’t be close to my sibling but it has to be what it is. He causes too much emotional and physical damage.

And that can truly be the case in reverse. I'm sorry you have had to deal with this. Protect your mental and emotional health with boundaries. Don't chase a toxic person.

Can always putting your spouse first ruin a marriage? Are u supposed to be a friend to everyone all the time first and putting ur spouse last

This is what was needed for me to let go. I thought it was me. Family of 5 none are friends or speaking. Not respect for each other as adults. It’s always, the I’m the oldest you have to respect me. Blah blah blah. Terrible.
