The main fact how it feels like the anime in whole has a soul and feels alive and how it makes the side characters feel like mcs and how you learn about them

Not to mention that frieren was fighting the demon King about 80 years ago. The attack frierens clone used against fern was probably frierens last resort against the demon King.

All of those first-class mages in the academy would pay a ticket just to see the presentation of 'the height of magic'.

This is a very logic reason. Yes, Serie ALSO trained that skill to suppress her mana to a point where she hides her mana even better than Frieren, but that doesn't neglect what she previously said... Frieren would have way more polished techniques If she focused on developing them instead of training mana suppression, that's only logical. And we actually have a clear example that backs up Serie's claim.. remember in the dungeon when Fern is explaining Frieren's fatal flaw, it's revealed to us that Frieren stops detecting mana for a brief moment once she casts a spell, this is a mistake only NEWBIE mages do, but Frieren still has that problem.. she could get better at it If she spent her time training it, but she didn't do it. So Serie's words are backed up by the narrative here

@@ismaelm.mbaangue9147 what are you talking about? the last attack clone frieren used (prior to the one she used against fern) to attack the real frieren was the black version of zoltraak. this is even more clear in the manga, chapter 55 if you want to read. the attack can't absord any spell, is just had enough power to break through frieren's defensive magic.

I don't know if I would call it gravity magic since it isn't going down and most likely doesn't have to do with mass of objects , but it is certainly some sort of push magic.

It's probably imagining crushing your opponent. No spell involved. Because Magic is literally described as a bridge between imagination and reality if you think about it. Modern mages use control of physical objects because it's easier as creating matter / spells from nothing. That's why the main defensive spell costs you a lot of mana to maintain - it creates a barrier from nothing. So logically the more you have to imagine and construct into reality the more mana you have to have. Two more points that relate to this theory: -Serie as the most knowledgeable mage is referred to "as closest to the goddess" -flying is not something humans can naturally do thus it's an implemented spell you have to maintain but for demons it's a natural thing I also think the genocide on the Elven race was because of this reason. Elves lifespans are so immensely vast that their Manapool have the potential to grow big enough to support the whole [imagination reality] concept on a natural law level. So the demon king wanted to eliminate this threat as fast as possible to ensure his future.

@@justinaquino4119Oh, he did. The anime has yet to mention just how much damage he caused to humans as well, but ... (spoiler) Humanity has been reduced to 1/3 of what it originally was due to the demon wars. The long term trajectory was not exactly positive before the Hero's party did what they did.

Ikr, when I read the manga the fights is only a few pages and not as detailed so I thought it's a slice of life with a little action. They really made an amazing anime adaptation

more? the anime literally added her summoning black holes and doing some kind of reality shattering stuff that wasn't even in the manga and you think she didn't go all out? the clone literally used a move she hasn't used since the battle against the demon king lol. frieren went all out in this fight, and the anime actually made her way stronger than her real level

@@boboyo3140 You do realize when creators of Anime and Manga make these kind of shows, they add new storylines and powers to the anime that's not in the manga right? They all do it, bleach TYBW is a perfect example of that. Yes, I want to see more, who says "nah man, that's enough, I don't want to see her do more powerful moves" I would rather see the original character do crazy powerful moves, than her clay clone. Who cares if she wasn't as powerful in the manga, like I said above, it's their creation, they can change whatever they want, it doesn't have to always line up to our expectations.

@@CasperAJ that's only if the creators are a part of the anime staff. that's not something that happens all the time. also, you just want to see cool powers, but I praise consistency above all else. It wouldn't make any sense to see frieren doing some reality shattering stuff here and then later down the line she's getting bodied by a demon and she doesn't use none of these additional spells the anime team added. what are you gonna think as the viewer? either that they nerfed her or that she's holding back, lol. you're gonna draw a conclusion that the story never intended to convey, because your view on her real power level was mislead by the anime adding a bunch of stuff to make the episode look cooler. Frieren ALREADY went all out here, in fact like I said they made her even more powerful than the manga, so don't get surprised once season two comes out if her power level seem to "drop" for some reason and she starts getting beat up and never uses any of these crazy spells.. it's not because she was nerfed or anything, it's just that these spells never existed in the first place. the only way they could keep this consistent is if they also level up the power of the villains, and then make frieren vs her opponents in a totally bigger scale altogether. but we don't even know if they'll be able to keep the same anime staff for season 2, if the staff changes, this could go all wrong.

@@boboyo3140 Creators are part of the anime staff, if not directly, then they do have certain requirements for said anime, Akira Toriyama wasn't part of the anime staff in GT, but he did have input on the franchise. "You just want to see cool powers" how are you going to tell me what I want to see, you know nothing about what I like about anime, that's such an arrogant statement. Your whole reply is a ton of assumptions of how I view this show without me actually saying so. That's so weird, Lol. Like I said, when creators get their manga Animated, they tend to add more to the characters that they couldn't convey in their drawings because of limitations, I don't get upset or criticize them when they change something about a character when animated, they're allowed to do that because it's their creation. You're arguing a tiny statement that doesn't impact anyone, but you. Let it go chief, let people enjoy the show the way they want to enjoy it. @@CasperAJ you literally don't know what you're talking about. it's not a rule for the original creators to be involved in the anime production at all, there are cases when the creators went public complaining on how the adaptation of their works was being handled. You don't know how the industry works to be saying stuff like that, first of all, the ones who came up with the additions of these spells was not the creators, but the storyboarders for the episode.
