Fascinating. They talk about Godard preferring to lens the entirety of the room because that's how he sees life. Lang by contrast says he's interested in something in particular. What's stunning about Lang's style is his compositions, very graphic, economical and beautiful in themselves. It's great that they recognize and appreciate their different approaches.
It is interesting that the plan of room drawn by Lang strongly resembles the plan of office room of Joseph Goebbels, with the same motive of a long way from entrance to his working desk, something that Lang mentions in his other interviews, german ones.
