Pense bem nessa possibilidade, pois aqui no Brasil os brasileiros adoram fazer um churrasco 🥩 🥩 !!! Harlen Ruiz aqui !! Desde já obrigado !!!
I want to tell you something coming from a man in the trade some 45 years, and I have set up 3 shops in the process: "You have been doing a phenomenal job of filming along with all the other things you have had to do." Many other people will have no idea of the logistics you have had to do and attend to just to get this far. NO, you are doing a GREAT JOB OF WORK AND FILMING. BRAVO KD "IMPRESSIVE"
No joke, wish we had an in depth video on those logistics. Because that’s where the secrets are!! With that said I understand why there may not be, but that’s what’s missing on RU-vid! Love the detail you give in your videos though, can’t wait to start my own.
I can not believe the work you have done to get your shop set up. Fantastic that you were able to film and upload while doing all that. Thanks so much for sharing your story!!
You crossed into my algorithm and damn my man what an impressive informative journey. You truly are inspiring across the frickin world much more then you know. Much love from Detroit. new sub! Cheers!
Congrats on the new space. Thinking how big it was until you started to move in... less space now lol. Keep the video's coming. Enjoy watching every minute. I think you will have a little helper in the shop as well in no time.
Awesome work I’ve been waiting for your new shop for quite a while I’m glad you’ve got it you get all the things worked out it’ll be a lot better for you and a lost a lot easier I’ll keep watching I enjoy watching you you’re doing excellent job thank you God bless
Yeah…. You ain’t getting Laguna Tools for free, or even a discount. I would have gotten a grizzly. Or a mínimax. That flap sander is sweet, but I can’t imagine what you paid for it. … and a power feeder… you must be running 12/4 lumber …,or making 3/8” thick boxes… ( it takes you years to wrap your head around An LS positioner)
Hi Kris and family, I'm following your story from New Zealand. Watching this video was a very emotional experience for me. I am 76 and have successfully owned my own businesses for over 60 years. I've never worked a 5 day week, or an 8 hour day...7 day business weeks and 12 hour days are a normal part of my life, and I've enjoyed every minute of it and had so much satisfaction building a life on hard work and high business standards and values. You should be very proud of what you've achieved in such a short time. You obviously have a great deal of woodworking and organisational skill, please work just as hard to become a great manager of money and an amazing marketing man. I have lost count of the people I've known over the years who were very talented at producing things, but useless at operating their businesses...with failure as an end result. And by the way, you've got the cutest little girl on RU-vid.
I thought to myself “I’ll just check out some tech news and then play some games before bed”. An hour later … and it’s nearly bedtime in the UK. It was worth it Kris. I really enjoyed seeing you build the Big Shop business (literally) from start to finish. You and your family have worked so hard for this moment 🍻 👍
I can only imagine how long this took to edit. Thanks for documenting the whole thing, in the midst of all the other work you've got on your plate. You put together a great story! Keep building brand
I was just thinking about your channel the other day wondering when you were going to reveal the new shop and you put out a video today. I wish you and your family all the luck and happiness. You work wonders with the beautiful wood you choose for the boards. God bless!
From a custom furniture/fine cabinetry maker since the early 80's to you sir, Congrats on your accomplishments in this very fulfilling field. I recall watching one of your vids when you were still in the garage, before you had taken the leap to go full time with it. I didn't realize you were up in Alaska!
Love the content and showing all the details behind the scenes. The small details are what we want to see, because there are a million videos about wood working. But it's the journey and the emotions that make a good story. I hope some day they can figure out how to make wood working tools that don't weight 447 pounds. I just got a 12" radial arm saw, and 7 other radial arm saws. The 12" saw has to be completely disassembled to be moved, but that's the beauty of a radial arm saw, they are very easy to take apart. I think there is some merit in a tool being light enough to move around all by yourself, or at least some way of being disassembled and moved. Tools that can't be moved, are basically useless for a home hobbyist. The trailer hitch dolly was smart!
Love you, Kris! You're an inspiration. I've got my hobby wood shop up and running now. Thanks for teaching me so much! My best to your wife and family.
This is amazing dude. I just want to say congratulations on your accomplishments thus far. I'm really happy for you. I'm also trying to get into the game as well. By seeing you accomplish as much as you have within a short time, makes me believe that I can also do the same. Thank you so much for you sharing your journey with us. You are doing an amazing job buddy bravo. 👏 may God keep you on the path to riches that you & your family deserves.
Wow, what a ton of work! I’m so happy to see you get all this up and running. You’ve inspired my wife and me with our small woodworking business. Thanks!
My man, you earned all this. So so proud of you. So happy to see you have your own shop!!! May it bring lots and lots of success in your life and your family's well-being!
I'm so happy for you guys!! I'v been following you for a long time and everything you have produced is nothing but quality! You deserve all the good things that are happening to you! I wish you good luck in your new place and I hope to see you produce and grow in the coming years!!! Greetings from Greece!
So stinkin' happy for you! I just watched this entire video 🤣 I've no interest in woodworking until your videos. Most importantly your doing it! An entrepreneur that got it done! Applause!!! You're so inspiring and the quality of your work is bar none! 🥰🙏🤗💥
Congratulations Kris. You've been an inspiration to me. I'm still trying to build my 1 1/2 car shop. You deserve all your success. I'm sure your family is proud of you to. Keep up the great work.
This is such a good story and such an inspiration to me - I'm just about to start my own wood turning business and RU-vid channel - much smaller scale than you but it's wonderful to see your hard work and dedication pay off - your boards look awesome too!
This has been suck a amazing story. I can’t wait to see you blow it completely out. I believe that the shop will not be large enough in less than 2 years because the demand for the real quality cutting board will skyrocket
you're an amazing man, I've been thinking a lot nowadays about opening a woodshop for cutting board, that's how I got to your video, I live in the Middle East in Amman Jordan, I'm a chef and a seaman, and I'm now calculating the expenses needed to start my project your videos are lit man, I'd be happy to see more coming big respect from Jordan
I absolutely loved the video. You should be so proud of yourself for all you do for your family. It actually gives me a renewd motivation to get my own life moving forward again. Really best of luck and keep the faith.
Cheers again from the French Quarter in New Orleans! I am retired now, and use textile as MY work material. In the past two years have made dolls, tote bags, pillows and now I am working on some tiny hats (3 1/2" across!). The felt fabric is recycled plastic bottles. The whole rebirth and re-use notion warms my heart. And I never miss a chance to tell people about, "hey don't throw that away, it might be re-made into a..." BTW Your work is phenomenal. Really love watching things come to life under your hands....
Kris, im a chiropractor and specialize in only treating patients in detox centers. I mainly see young kids between ages 18-26 and always show them your page. I think its important to show them how someone can take a hobby or passion and turn into into a career. One in which youre the boss, owner and make your own schedule and control your future. My patients all love what you do and are impressed by how far you have taken your business. I wish you were in los angeles because i would have loved to bring them to see what you do to help inspire them to find whatever it is that makes their hearts burn and find out how to take it to the next level and stop using drugs. Keep up the great work. Ill definitely be sharing this video as well
This really touched me Elad. I don't know what to say. I'm at a loss with having this kind of meaning to people. Thank you for the kind words and best of luck with helping others.
@@KrisDeVo Im a growing entrepreneur myself so i try to motivate them by showing them that im doing it. Not much needed to say, just keep doing what youre doing... FYI ive watched so many of these videos that i motivated myself to start doing it as a weekend hobby to help me de-stress so im learning all about how to do cutting boards, epoxy projects and charcuterie boards as well. Ill hopefully try my first project soon.
Congratulations Kris, I love your story. I'm rooting and praying for you and your family, both for a successful life and business. Should have contacted WD-40 Company (true Company name) and explained your problem. Then maybe you could have purchased WD-40 by the gallons or at least joint venture clean up of your racks.
Man, this is awesome! You did so much more then I expected, I thought you would just get a bigger Space to work in, but man you've gone full out professional now. Huge Respect! I wish you good Luck and I'm very excited for new Videos!
So good to see you back on the Tubes! Congrats on growing your business! Let me know if you're looking to liquidate some pipe clamps! Shipping to GA may be prohibitive, but I might be interested. You should be the talk of the town with all those new tools!
Such an inspiration. Thanks for taking us on the journey with you! I dream of walking away from my tech job and opening a furniture business. Maybe some day I'll have the courage. Until then, I'll live vicariously through your amazing hard work.
This literally brought a tear to my eye. You and your family are really living the American dream and I love that you are sharing it and letting us come along for the ride. This is what an entrepreneurial spirit can accomplish in a free country that embraces this spirit…it’s what built our country! It’s hard work, comes with so much sacrifice….but the rewards are immeasurable. I wish only the best for you as you continue to build your business.
Just watching your videos for the first time. You have so much passion for the work that you put out! Congrats on all your success. Enjoy it a little with your adorable family. Loved when you measured the snowfall by putting your daughter in the snow up to her waist!! I'm hooked on watching you make sawdust!!!!
Kris, I live in France, I haven't bougth any cutting board for the moment but what I can say is that you are making a crazy amount of work, and a really good one :) Your products are amazing !
It's hard to tell from the editing but you sure seem to know your way around machines you have never seen. I bet you watched so many videos and read so many manuals you knew how to take them apart and put them together before you even owned them. You have inspired me to do the same and if I invest the time in doing that I might actually buy some of this stuff one day.
I don't do woodworking. I don't own a business. I can however, imagine the joy you experienced getting this all set up. There are tools that I never even knew existed! Thanks for the tour!
Thank you for including us in your journey, Kris. Your faith and hard work are an inspiration. You have a beautiful family and I wish and pray for your continued success. God Bless You and Your Family.
Hi Kris! Thank you for sharing your journey. The filming/editing is no small feat on top of doing quality work. I like how you are always trying to streamline your shop/processes. The packaging of your boards for shipping has to be taking a ton of time. From wrapping of your boards & the mess of cutting all the polystyrene insulation boards to size. Just a couple of thoughts for speeding up your packaging from someone whose been in packaging for a long time- Have you looked at cohesive foam rolls to wrap the board, it's self sticking and provides cushioning that can take a couple of bounces in shipping. Or (EPS) foam in place systems or EPS packs where you stuff on either end of the box.
Peter from South Africa, think of making knives u have the wood,u know how work with steel ,get them water jet cut and lean to harden steel, think of it Peter
Kris that was amazing, you are a freaking BEAST. HOLY COW what a ton of work. Your work ethic is almost unbelievable… Is everyone in Alaska a human Grizzly ? But seriously you can’t do everything yourself forever brother…it’s time to hire and train a little help on the manufacturing side.
this is to exciting to see! You are such an inspiration! I am using this video to show my son and my old roommate because I am trying to get us set up to start a business and this video perfectly depicts that dreams do come true!
I've set up several shops in my life, from 2000 sq ft to 74000 sq ft. It really is amazing how much effort it takes. No matter how much planning goes into it, there are always things that pop up that you weren't counting on/didn't plan for. In the beginning, because of my shoestring budget, I did pretty much all the work myself but at some point, as the shops got bigger, that would have been impossible. Fortunately, in those larger shops, I had the resources in both money and personnel allocated to get it done. You did a phenomenal job. I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end.
1. this is so awesome to see you succeed and i know it takes some time to do these videos but thank you! 2. you daughter is adorable. and 3 man I hope I get a chance to see your awesome work in person some day. God bless and hope you have fun in the new shop!
Wow dude, my heart would be pounding from a combination of excitement and fear! I can't believe you've come this far from humble beginnings. Way to go! :D
I have really enjoyed watching your progress, I started watching you about 2 years ago and have been fascinated with your process. I would like to start and stay small building cutting boards. I'm pretty old so ill only do limited batches but the most important lesion I have learned has been sanding. I have seen so many boards that just are not smooth. You taught me that quality pays off. Thanks and good luck in the new shop.
Don't quote me on this, but I am pretty sure they make a CNC sanding head, which may cut down on your time with the ROS. Personally, I kind of like sanding, but if you don't, that's an option. Or a couple drum sanders with different grits already on them.
You are what America is about and what "MADE IN THE USA" means! I wish you all the best and you have gave me hope, not only on my own business endeavors but others that have the dream to do so. Godspeed Brother.
Great Craftsmanship and dedication to your family and business. It’s hard to juggle both. You have a beautiful family and I wish your fam and business blessings. I also wanted to ask was I miss hearing the transmission on the Ram Dually $70,000.00 for a new one ? I about fell out!!!
Let me tell you … you are NEVER going to be able to kill those Taylor clamps…, NEVER!!! You were smart to buy a fully loaded. (Non rotisserie) Taylor clamp. I worked in a shop that had OLD Taylor racks. You will get a rythym with them….But.. no longer than 3-4 hours… unless you get a pattern to load them up every night, and then work on the slabs in the morning. Also… dominos might help you register and get them all even.. so you don’t have to take off as much. The thicker you can leave those slabs… the better. More glue surface… more weight, won’t cup
Simply WOW Kris!!! 😤😤😤 Best of luck with your business as I know it will be very successful. Your an extremely hard worker and very good woodworker. You’r tool purchases will do you good long into the future, every mans dream.
Hi, i'm from Indonesia. I'm a wood worker too. From my experience, the most important thing is "Don't be Sick"! keep Healthy. Take Care and God Bless You
You're an inspiration for us new wood workers. I'm just starting out I took a plunge and purchased a 4x4 Mill Right CNC, just waiting for the electrician :o(.
I want to recommend you one important thing! never ever sell your product to customer from China!!! they will replicate your idea and will mass build them for cheap price... A suggestion from wood toy company owner
Hi Kris, your videos are truly inspiring. Near the beginning of the video you are unboxing a flag. How about making some of your creative looking cases for memorial flags. I made one for my father's flag and it was very rewarding. Keep up the GREAT work. 👍
I wish you all the luck and stay save. An accident is always close. What a nice space. Switch the main power off, beffore going home, so many shop fires happening. You dont want that. You'll be very busy. Greatings from Netherlands. You're an inpiration.
Hi Kris! I'm sorry to bother you but I have a question. How do you make the cutting board designs? Do you cut different width strips and randomly put them together as long as they are uniform? There's a lot of different designs in your boards. I'm just curious to see how you came up with it. Secondly, are you doing face grain or edge grain?
