David, Sara, and Ed talk to Dr Benjamin Franta, Senior Research Fellow in Climate Litigation at the Oxford Sustainable Law Programme and the founding head of the Climate Litigation Lab.
They examine the history of disinformation in the oil sector; how Ben and his colleagues conduct research in this area; and whether exposing disinformation and pursuing oil and gas companies through the legal system can bring about real policy changes to help the climate.
About Our Guest:

Thanks! Please note that the podcast version tends to be a bit shorter, so the times might not match exactly. Would you prefer that we include the notes on the video version even though the times don't match up exactly?

@@energyvsclimate Don't hesitate to delete my shownote comments if you can replace them with exact ones, I just cut and pasted them. I'm just an overeager listener. Note: this was probably the best one I've attended so far, very concise and relevant.

You didn't put the link to the UM study which showed that 15% of Americans do not think climate change is real. Regardless, I find that actually encouraging, because it means a bigger fraction of Americans believe climate change is real than the fraction accepting that evolution is real. That is, there are move evolution-deniers in the US than climate change deniers.
