Will gap years after 12 th affects while getting admission in IIM

Hi! I have a number of batchmates who have gap years in their education/work as well. If you can justify why you took a gap year in your interviews, everything works out just fine.

I think IIM Jammu and some other newer IIMs have healthcare management programs. The program I'm pursuing is the general MBA. Fee at IIM Ahmedabad is around 25 lakh for 2 years

Hi, it all depends on what you want to work as in the long term. No option is better or worse, it just might be better suited for you. You can speak to people who have done hospital management to understand and decide. My MBA is a general MBA so I may not be the right person. And don't worry, everything will work out.

Hey! At our college we don't have any specializations as such. It's just a general MBA and there are no healthcare specific courses.

Hi! I'm not doing a MBA in healthcare so don't really know the specifications. Maybe searching for people on LinkedIn who have this degree and speaking to them will help. But in my opinion, your qualifications should be sufficient for this degree.

We don't have a quote but we do get some additional points for diversity during the admission process. However, once in college, we have to be able to keep up with all the people from various backgrounds and that's a little tough :(

Yes! MBA entrance can be given after any graduation

It's just like any other college. So no stipend except during the 2 months of internship. Equating it to residency and expecting a stipend/salary as students would be unfair. :)

Hey! Summer internship during MBA happens through college only. As for something before MBA in a corporate, I didn't try to apply as such so no idea how difficult/easy it is. Hi! Thank you. It was tough but I used to study about 2-3 hours everyday and then catch up on the weekends. Every Sunday I used to give a test without fail, and then eventually, after I had gone through the concepts, I used to give tests during the week as well and then analyse them on the other days.

Hi! I don't think this is a very good criteria for choosing a seat. If you want to do an MBA, you need to first figure out why? MBBS or BDS, you can get in anyways if you can justify how MBA fits into your career plans. Also if you're going to be studying medicine for 5+ years, maybe choose something that you would enjoy more?

Beacuse i hve given neet 2nd attempt 2023 and 529 marks now i have to choose colleges whether mbbs or bds and eventually i realised i dont want to do pg beacuse i see thre lots of strees and even to get pg its difficult so preparing cat will be better if it gonna worth it after mba . And i want to get corporate job and sattele earlier just thats reason...mam tell me if i m not going to right path

If you eventually want to do an MBA itself then you can do an MBA after any degree. If you're sure about not doing a PG, maybe ask yourself, why you want to do medicine itself? And what after medicine + MBA? Also, CAT preparation isn't easy either. Getting into a good MBA college is also tough, just like NEET-PG. Plus an MBA is a bigger struggle for medical students. So, it's not a relatively easier route, if that's what you're looking for.

Hey! Even I was scared about maths but trust me with practice it's manageable. And MBA is a great way to get a corporate job!

Nothing in specific! I don't believe in doing things to "enhance your CV" so I just went about doing things I wanted to do! Also, my decision was properly finalised in internship so there wasn't much time either after that.
