Your story is similar to mine. Taking a big break then coming back and having a big break of improvement. Then thinking "how much better could I get"

IMO playing in-person tournaments majors and locals are the only real metric to be a top player. Everyone can do good in friendlies. But the pressure of competition is where skill is really tested. Wish you the best of luck! It’s one of the greatest games of all time.

Motivation is hard to rely on unfortunately, especially after you take a break and come back stronger as a player. But if you truly want to be top 100 and don't sway from your goal it's definitely doable. I wish you the best of luck :)
