I love how the first thing people think when they see a large trunk of a car, no matter what part of the world they come from, is how many bodies they can fit in it

I had one of these giant cars as my first one. It was a late 70s Oldsmobile, and it was 221 inches long. After learning to drive and park that car, I could drive anything after that. And yes, a friend of mine who was 6"4' laid down in the trunk so you really could transport a dead body if you wanted to, even a big one. Want to repeat my request for you to tell Badshah about Rick Allen, the drummer for the rock band Def Leppard. I think he could find inspiration from that story, and Babu would also be interested as a drummer. Rick was the band's drummer for five or six years when he lost his left arm in a car accident in 1984. Badshah has this idea of himself as being less important due to his disability, but not everyone feels that way. The band waited for Rick to heal and redesign his drum kit and he was back to playing live shows in about a year and a half. They never brought up the idea of getting a different drummer, they left the decision up to Rick, so Rick figured it out. You can show them this video from four years after the accident, which I can't link: DEF LEPPARD - "Pour Some Sugar On Me" (Official Music Video) where the band is playing for tens of thousands of people and there's Rick with his one arm at the drum kit. Badshah, we appreciate you, we think you're important and you deserve everything that anyone else does. Sure, Rick Allen was a rich and famous rockstar when he had his accident but that's not why everyone supported him. That's just why a lot of us have heard the story. The support would have been there regardless.

Their enthusiasm and admiration for these extra large luxury cars is really nice. It would be a great video and such a treat for them if you could arrange just a short drive for them from a car colector in India that has any of the cars shown if they are in great condition. Nostalgic for your American viewers also.

I would like to see their reactions to seeing some different types of motorhomes in the United States. A variety ranging from the truck camper, to Class B, B+, C, and of course the luxurious Class As. Also explain to them that some people live in the vehicles so they can travel the country to see all the different places. While others use them to go on vacations. I remember when we bought a 68 4 door Chevy Impala, IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! Wish I still had it. Riding in it was like riding on a cloud.

I had a 1973 Chevy Impala but I had it in 1989 lol. Cars from this era are way better than cars being manufactured today which are nothing but plastic and fiberglass. They'll last forever too as long as you take care of them. Cars nowadays are designed to fail after so many miles. Take them on a limousine ride!

After 79, the nameplates Continental and Town Car were split into two separate vehicles. The Continental was smaller and loaded with luxuries as well as a more powerful v8 while the Town Car stayed huge and continued production until 2011, alongside the Mercury Grand Marquis and Ford Crown Victoria who shared the same platform. The Continental was discontinued in the mid 2000's before making a comeback in 2016, replacing the v8 with turbo charged v6's while later adding the "suicide" rear doors as a premium option in 2019-2020 before being discontinued in favor of Crossovers and SUV's in 2021.

Also, an interesting fact about the Thunderbird (or as these guys misheard: "Underworld", lol), is that the model name comes from Native American folklore. A Thunderbird was a gigantic eagle that was said to be large enough to pick people up and carry them away to eat them. It's depicted still in many artforms from some tribes here in the United States.

Cars used to have personality, you could tell the year, model and manufacturer just by looking at it. Now cars all look the same more or less, they're either really smooth or really pointy or they look like an SUV. Gimme a 1963 Rear Split Stingray over a 2023 C8 Z06 anyday.
@ll7868
@ll7868 Год назад
And I bet a 1963 Stingray will still be on the road long after all the 2023 Z06es are gone. Old cars were built to last multiple lifetimes, you could pass them down from generation to generation, today's cars are built to last about 2 years less than the lease.

In the United States, in order to drive you need to take a written and driven test. This test is to ensure that the driver understands the rules of the road to protect themselves and others from collisions as driving can result in fatal accidents due to the vehicle's high speeds. However in terms of the terrain. There is Off-Roading vehicles that can drive through potholes and rough roads.

The bigger the car the smaller the ……. Ridiculously big cars that drink petrol like it’s lemonade. Impossible to ride the in Europe’s cities because they just don’t fit through the streets or in parking spaces. Let’s not talk about the ridiculously small amount of power they manage to get from those big engines.

They were really only reasonable in the USA, tho less so in retrospect, however, back in the 50's, 60's and 70's... you could spend a LOT of hours in a car.... sometimes w/ kids... you needed the space to be able to travel to relatives/work/recreation comfortably. I mean as the saying goes the USA population thinks 100 years is a long time, European population thinks 100 miles is a long distance. Just as most of Europe believes 100 years to be nothing/next to nothing, we see 100 miles to be nothing/next to nothing. Your countries are so small, in Canada and the USA most of our states are bigger than most of your countries.
