One of the promises Jesus made to whomever prayed the "fifteen prayers of saint bridget" for one year straight was that "15 sinners of his lineage will be converted". After praying that for a year, my younger sister now attends church again! All my immediate family members are now attending church at least weekly.

Isn't it YOUR will that you want done? For example, if the Church blesses same-sex unions, will you accept that God's will is being done or will you assume the pope is evil? You can't accept that the Church is being guided through the pope, but at the same time reject the pope's declarations. When you reject the pope, you reject the Church. You also reject the idea that God is watching over the Church to protect it from theological error. Or are you not Catholic?

What are you talking about,No one on Earth has the power to bend doctrine or change it Not even the pope has that power, nor his Cardinals. We have what is Known has (doctrine) and what the church teaches no one can bend it to their liking. The Catholic doctrine teaches that active Homosexuality is intrisically evil and morally Disordered that's the fact. Yes we can and ought to pray for our brothers and sisters who struggle with this abomination but we can not promote that homosexual couples or unions of any kind is God's design purpose on Earth No.. such feelings need to be prayed upon and ask God's grace to stop sinning, the church teaches being homosexual is not a sin no one has control over their sexual feelings but certainly we can choose to act upon those feelings to chose right or wrong. Being active homosexual is not God's design purpose

So what is a mass for someone entail? What's it supposed to do?

​@@bethr8756 In this case it's to commemorate his death anniversary. But Mass offered for the dead usually entails asking for one's soul to be released from purgatory as the souls in purgatory are no longer able to pray for themselves.
