On 25th May 2002 locomotive 7315 and 7319 hauled steam locomotive 2413, Railmotor CPH 2 and a short string of carriages from Canberra to Junee. They are now part of the display at the Junee Roundhouse Railway Museum.
As the Bathurst Steam Weekend later this week will be featuring Locomotive 6029, the largest steam locomotive operating in Australia and the Southern Hemisphere, I felt it was an opportune time to recall this event from 2002, featuring a much smaller steam locomotive.
This video follows the special train from Goulburn to Yass.
Videos in the From the Vault series were originally shot in 4 x 3 Standard Definition and have been upscaled to High Definition and reformatted to widescreen. They generally cover movements that can now no longer take place.

Great video, not often these days one sees the diesel hydraulic "73" class out on the main line. Sounded like the "Tin Hare" CPH2 had a bad skidded wheel too.
