Thanks! CMT Adv. is not comparable with SKS micro mig, especially on CMT Adv. we use the plus and minus polarity to have more control about heat input and deposition rate. If you want more infos, please get in touch with us.

For welding steel and aluminum, an aluminum wire is used as filler metal. The aluminum side is welded and the steel side is brazed. Please keep in mind: Steel must be galvanized!

There are different application shown in the Video but generally, a big benefit of the Process CMT Advanced is to increase deposition rate and degrees heat input, which give you a perfect situation to minimize or control the residual stress in the welded material. Basically if you put energy (heat) to a material which is necessary when you are doing welding there will be always residual stress in the material. The question is just how much stress and therefore CMT Adv. will be a perfect process to minimize or control this stress!If you have more questions we can give you the contact information about your Fronius contact person in your country.

With our CMT process you can weld aluminum and copper. You can weld CTM Advanced on Aluminum but we had no need to weld on copper so far.
