Don’t be too hard on yourself man! You are a GREAT player and hit the ball a freaking mile! You can definitely go on TOUR in the next couple years! Keep working at it! Love your vids BTW!!!!!!
i have watched you for a few years now and your accuracy is so much better. You had one bad drive on this nine and was killing it. to be the long drive champ as many times as you have, you cant expect to shoot under par consistantly. golf is all about the short game, you have mastered the long. its so hard to have both.
Ridiculous how many strokes you pick up off the tee, so much fun watching you hit the ball--you should do a video where you have a tour pro hit your approach shots and putts just to see what you guys shoot together! Would be electric
Really close to being a lot better, Kyle. You're definitely, all elements considered, one of the best (if not the best) driver(s) in the world for the actual game of golf. Amazing! You sounded tired in the audio but I'm not sure if that was the case during the actual play. In any case, lot's of fun to watch and inspiring. Cheers.
I've played this course before, I'm from the southwest PA area. Absolute beauty, think I shot something in the high 80's. Keep up the good content, Kyle 👍
Where in sw pa? I live in Midway, within earshot of Quiksilver. We head down to nemacolin every spring. Mystic is probably my favorite course within driving distance of Pittsburgh.
Kyle, you are a really good golfer. I know long drive is your focus, as it should be, but you have skills. I can see you want to be good at golf, and that's why I keep watching. Thanks for taking us along on these rounds.
Not sure what it is but the on course sound on your Instagram videos is much better than on RU-vid. Like the sound of impact and the ball whizzing away (maybe the background noise too?) is very muted on RU-vid.
I have played both Nemacolin Courses. I have played Mystic a lot more since it is older, and they are tough tracks for sure seeing where some of your drives finished really put into perspective your power as I am def above average off the tee and am nowhere close to some of those spots. Knowing where to miss on this course is very key on a lot of holes. Excited for the back nine!
Kyle, either way ur videos are created is fine with me. I believe you would look great with some shorter hair. Outstanding video, uve inspired me watching u pulverize ur shots to try and continue to work and improve my own game. Keep up the good work. God bless you
I share your frustration, Kyle. It looked, as it often does, that you were not far off of ripping the course apart in terms of scoring. Golf's a funny game. I never broke par, even after I often began to often hit 13-16 greens a round until I began to not wait for it to happen and began to determine to "take it" from the course and that made a big difference. I have no idea if that has any bearing on your case since you're obviously a great competitor. I'll just say that I was good in many sports and felt in most of the other sports that I could control the outcome (at least of my performance) better than I could with golf, which felt much less controllable in that regard. I found that I could always explain my bad scoring to myself in terms of what I didn't do well enough. Strangely though ( and hard to explain ) when I decided in advance, instead of waiting to find out, that I was good enough to break par and should, it began to happen. So, I'd rather have you tell us (or at least yourself) why you're good enough to be on tour (even if the numbers aren't quite there yet) and continue working toward that with an abundance of self belief. It's free so you might as well take an ample share of it. Cheers.
Do you have a WITB? I'm really curious about your iron setup. Are you able to play a forged head? And if so, how often would you have the specs checked? I cant seem to keep a mizuno hosel straight for the life of me. And I'm not as fast as you. And rarely fat.
Kyle, do you think you can make it to the Tour? Or I should ask, do you want to play on the Tour? I think a few years ago you said you'd like to. Not sure if your goals have changed since then. Keep up the great videos
John Daly once said if he had to do it all over again he would spend 90% of his time practicing from 120 yards and in. That's what really differentiates really good players from guys who are making a living out there on tour. Going out and practicing short game for 3-4 hours a day isn't exactly that much fun but that's what it takes. It's just a question of who is willing to go and do it consistently.
Awesome!! Kyle, I need you to join my foursome in St. Louis Saturday Oct 7th at 8am please don’t be late. I’ve got your fee’s covered . Thx and see you soon
Nice video and great job. Very enjoyable to watch. Being from that area, I have played that course a number of times (from normal human being tees BTW). And then I worked as a marshal when the PGA Tour had the '84 Lumber Classic' played there during the 1990s. It is a very challenging course, and playing from your tees is crazy hard. There are lots of trees and some sneaky water here and there. It's more fun to play when it is dried out a bit. I see they had pretty soft for your day. It is especially beautiful to play this time of the year (from mid-September to mid-October). The skies are blue, the air is fresh, and the trees are magnificent.
I did an internship there roughly 10 years ago. If there was an opening I could play the Rock daily after tending the course. Do they still offer a caddy with your round?
I’ve played this course before and I’ve had so many tournaments there during my junior golf years! I’m from western/southwestern Pennsylvania and love the Mystic Rock course!
Kyle Berkshire & Wesley Bryan = perfect team. You are magic with the long shots and he is a magician with his wedges…..plus he also plays RU-vid golf when he isn’t playing on Tour.
Ok I've watched all of your videos. I have to say THIS particular format is by far my favorite. Well done with the commentary and the sound. I only have one critique, panning back to the area of the previous shot is both dizzying and unnecessary. This is the best video recently, keep it up
Why does this say "Near Albatross?" I watched the entire video and never saw anything close to a near albatross. Did I just miss it somehow? I'm very confused at the moment.
So in golf there are two general definitions of albatross that are adopted. First is a 2 on a par 5. Second is 3 under par on an individual hole. That being said, I think the "near albatross" was in reference to the tee shot that was roughly 10ft from the pin on the first hole, par 4. However, if that tee shot had gone in the hole, it would be more widely recognized as a hole-in-one rather than an albatross. Although both adjectives are correct, for the purposes of the youtube algorithm, using the word albatross is a choice the creator used.
@@ryanjhamm I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I know what an albatross means in golf, I just never saw it happen, so I appreciate you mentioning the tee shot on hole 1. Must have happened so quickly that I just didn't catch it. Thanks again.
Nice video thanks dude! But why can you hit at 400+ yard in this course and not in the last competition of the long distance driving with your full speed?
Kyle is it more that you’re just practicing long drive so the short game doesn’t see much time or is it the preparation, spine tilt, hip turn, etc that you feel you’re missing
Need to hire tiger and Michelson 😂 work on the shot game and putter game. The short game pro golfer have these days are Insane. Regularly the top 10-20 golfers hit gir with In 6ft. If tiger have the same distance and driver control. He would have made some unbelievable records unmanageable rounds of golf. Only things you see in video games.
I’m loathed to give unsolicited advice but hey, free speech an’ all. On 2 6 and 7, A pro would likely always be 10 feet closer on each of those approach shots into the green. On number 7 to boot you hit it to the area they’d mark in their notes as “ Do not hit here”. That was the bad miss. There’s 2 shots saved, maybe all 3 some days. It’s always the quality of the misses. Still at least you didn’t three putt the first😂.
Kyle and Bryson have the best swings in the world ever, take these and practice hard from all distances and you'll be the best you can be at this game.
