Most would agree that the time and stress to remove and replace bushings and ball joints to suspension arms can be hard to justify. Making up press tools and damaging arms are just two of the problems one can endure. Why put yourself through it when you can purchase complete arms, fitted with known and trusted Nolathane bushings and premium quality ball joints (if applicable). Buying a whole control arm with bushes pre fitted makes me think... is this steel... steel... or recycled reinforced plastic lol... it's 2023... everything is a fake knock off crap cheap remake. I would never retro fit anything but an OEM control arm. That's not just you guys... from anyone... I have 0% trust in any non OEM part these days... honestly I'd rather drive a 1980s car these days over anything that's "engineered to break after new car warranty" car made post 2000's

I have an FG G6E and the warranty ran out in 2012 and nothing has broken yet. The only modification I've done is to fit an external transmission oil cooler and that was done in 2012. It just made sense for $500 and that includes fitting against 10K for a new ZF transmission. I don't drive it like hoon and I don't believe in all these so called "must have" modifications. Ford Australia knew what they were doing when the designed the car. Provided I get the car serviced at the proper time it will last me years. Talking of lasting years how many modified Falcons of a much old vintage do you see as daily drivers. Very few if any for they've long gone to the wreckers yard with their modifications having considerably shortened their life span.

@AussiePom modern cars have a lot of engineering and over engineering in them.. not saying it's a bad thing but almost entirely everyone who buys a new car has no idea of the amount of fukery and complexity that goes into a modern car. The biggest problem isn't the fact their not engineered well or well enough to last a while it's the fact that even dealer mechanics are becoming useless and dumb to knowing how to diagnose and fix faults. I honestly have a 90s corolla and a 2000s honda and I refuse to buy anything newer as it's simply a ticking liability that will cost me too much to fix and not enough smart people to know how to fix it. It's just a car. People get too worked up about the bling bling of modern cars. Just an expensive toy with a computer chip that complains about everything.
