Now that my nostalgia front engine dragster has been completed, I have had some downtime for a change to actually relax a bit, which is quite rare. I have been doing a little bit of tuning and planning on a few upgrades before I hit the dragstrip for licensing passes. Jumping Jack Flash has been one awesome project and I have learned a lot. In some ways, it did fight us and a few times we had to come up with a plan B. The last six months has been a lot of work and a lot of long days!
In December of 2023, I bought a vintage top fuel dragster. I had a goal in mind to build a nostalgia front engine dragster and get it done in a short timeframe. The first thing I did was completely disassemble it and sort out the good parts from the bad. There were more bad than good, and we quickly realized a majority of the chassis needed to be replaced. the rest is history as they say.
I decided to make a series of timelapse videos covering the build process and put in some fun music. I had almost 1000 timelapse videos on this project, which is absolutely crazy if you think about it. Once I get some safety equipment in, I will be out drag racing and learning how to drive, which is exciting and nerve wracking at the same time! I am sure this 409 cubic inch small block Chevy will rip! Enjoy!
