my front load washing machine works with the agitate and spin then it won't the motor sounds fine when it does what could be wrong with it?

Take your washer all the way apart before assuming the bearings are the noise source! I was convinced I had a bearing problem based on diagnosing it from the pulley side with the back off the machine. It was wishful thinking on my part! I bought the bearings and completed the dis-assembly of the machine. Then I found the truth... The spider support was totally corroded and broken in several places, and that is what caused the "box of rocks" sound during my spin cycle. I should be able to repair the machine, which is only 13 years old has only done about 1300 loads of laundry. The bearing kit is a great way to avoid Frigidaire's evil $250 rear drum plus bearings being sold as a single part scheme. But the stainless steel basket with the cheap pot metal aluminum spider support is something nobody has found a way around. It should be an $80 part like it is for several other brands. Instead you have to buy them together as a single part for $350. Frigidaire is environmentally irresponsible! I'm going to go buy a new washer, made by a manufacturer that sells the spider support separately.

Richard Lloyd Thanks for looking - I hadn't seen the used parts - because I hadn't looked for used. If I were shorter on money and longer on time, I might look into used a bit more. As it is, I'm done with Frigidaire forever.

OK, Question; How tight do you tighten the 9/16" bolt on the spinner belt wheel. See if it's to tight then you can't spin/turn the tub at all, (( & it doesn't take much to be to tight, it seems to loose to me)), but then if it's to loose I'm afraid it will come off during any occosolation or high speed spinning process. I sure hope to get an answer as I'm having one H---- of a time finding an answer. WILLIE seven zero seven-644--two172 any time Help

OK Guys: Where can I buy a bearing puller tool for my front load washer, Maytag MAH3000AWW (inexspensively) Or hoping I can just make one, say out of "all thread rod" some washers, and nuts +++ what ever, I'm very handy at crafts/inventing, Just might need some dimensions/sizes etc. I have searched the internet,, No Luck 707--six44--2172
