I broke one of the passenger front bolts Aswell so I ended up not removing it. I guess the trick is to spray PB plaster on the underside of the bolt under the car then attempt to get it out. I GOT THEM OUT! :)
@@ThatOneName_ You will have to drill out the bolts now and then just buy brand new ones when you get them out and clean the threads of the old holes real good with wd40 before installing the new bolts.
hello, cool video, i think this is the only video on youtube i have seen on removing a town car seat. i have a 2007 signature and i removed both seats center console back seat and carpet, its real easy. i took the carpet to local car wash with pressure washers and it did a great job. i did it at night when it wasn't busy. i rolled it up tied it and placed it on a hand (truck) dolly. After cleaning it, it came out great almost new. it took a few days in the hot summer sun and dried right up in three days. front passenger underneath the glove box i have a leak and still trying to find it. the two front bolts on both seats broke on me. i banged out the four lugs with a heavy hammer and went to the hardware store and got for large screws /washers and nuts they work great. i have had the car for a year and its a project car it only has 105k miles . i might do a couple videos myself. thanks for sharing. hope to see more on this Lincoln is it yours?
Hey! Thanks for responding! Yes, this is my car. I'm gonna use a bolt extractor on the two and plan on removing the passenger seat and center compartment, too. Then, going to shampoo the rug. I plan on buying oem front seat hardware. The main reason I removed the seat was the clean underneath, and I spray silicon lubercsnt on every contact point I could under the seat because it would creek noise if you were taking a corner on it. It solved my issue.
I had the same problem of passenger side floorboards wet. Checked a RU-vid video and followed directions, first take off cowling under hood at the wipers. Check the drains to see if they are clogged. Then on passenger side the air intake has a felt gasget that deteriorated. Take off cover, remove remnants and clean up area, then some permatex to form a new “gasget” then tighten it all down, let the permatex ooze out, wipe it around to seal everything. Took care of my problem. Hope that helps.
