@@stevenliang3213 incorrect, luigi actually cant kill light characters off of lylat but can rack up damage. Also rosa is bad matchup so I dont blame Elegant.
@@TheMouldyOne Bracket demons are people who take you out more then you do them. I saw earlier that they fought recently before today's tournament so I will check it out.
i mean, if theyre his bracket demons theres a reason he keeps losing to them? this frostbite was crazy in terms of the talent, he didn't have anything else to overcome that other players didn't.
Jason because it’s a really bad move over all it’s slow has huge endlag and and doesn’t even do that much damage or have that much knockback unless it’s a misfire but that’s a 1 in 10 chance so it’s not worth it
WeToxicFew • i know that, but throwing out a whacky move from once in a while can actually get your opponent by surprise, and since Luigi is an odd character, odd tactics could work. Im not saying he should spam it, im saying that if hes in a position where he could do it and play the odds, then he sometimes should, bc sometimes he struggles to get a kill, but that misfire can kill pretty well
5:14 Elegant's face after not killing someone off a grab at 40% Seeing Luigi players lose is one of ultimate's greatest pleasures (idc if hes not that good)
Luma's respawn time only 10 seconds - tbh you have to make th best of those seconds - and that is almost impossible to do especaily when Dabuz who plays masterfuilly goes on the offensive with easy to land attacks like dash attack and forwared air. So the death of the luma is so temporary that by the time you act on the lack of it, you've likely just chased the person around the stage into their own trap of having luma again and then going on the attck
@@stevenliang3213 yeah which is the totality of the strategy I am attempting to infer - that for most it is not really a great way to approach a good Rosalina player - you need to be fast enough in some ability or another to get in and out consistently - which is a so jarring of a way to impose on oneself a strategy - imagine if Joker had arsene by default and could control it's placement of hitboxes on the stage AND also disjointedly spray out hitboxes that also come out even tho youve cancelled a move and are already in a different position as the main character - or at least a limited version of it - with a it's own differing set of abilities Same problem with approaching Ice Climber's by "getting rid of Lala first" - well here's a much better way to approach the fight: get rid of her if the option to do so quickly and easily occurs: unlesss they disjoint and are exposed as attempting to bring their hitboxes back together: then strike the secondary character untiil then act as if they are a singular entity being projected in front of our around your actual target - consider every ability as if it's being projected from the luma and bait it and then project your assault PAST the luma whether you kill it in the process of getting to Rosa or not - your goal should be to at least act like it's not controlling your every move - cus then your not leading the dance - the Luma is and that is very frustrating way to play. A lot of the harassment style damage is a lot of star bits which people don't realize is only the coming out of the Luma and Rosa has nothing come out of her that I have ever seen even tho she has a little animation - it's just her controlling the luma Every moment you spend directly in front of the Luma standing there trying to decide when to attack is another moment where she can easily harass you from behind the luma - so if you can't kill it easily and prosecute a set of damage on Rosa in the time that it stays dead then what is the point - accept that this is fight where your going to take inherent risk and pick a character who can overwhelm them more easily quite frankly - its a simply not a great matchup for luigi or any of the combo based close quarters brawlers. Especially since she can absorb projectiles with Down B - so thank you Lord and Savior they didn't let it heal her and get in there and put her on the backfoot - She fights behind an adorable star character that makes cute sounds and can't speak and each squeek might as well be a cry for help and mercy and for God to intervene and stop the madness - to me that's quite relatable frankly to a Failed Terrorist style State that fights it's only winnable scenario in a moderrn era by using it's citizens as puppets or living shields, meat weapons - She's an incapable and UN-elected Monarch who has no military capable of defending her Kingdom so she has her citizens out there one at a time taking bullets while she uses her deity like powers to control their movement. Crazy bitch might as well have the actual song Master of Puppets by Metallica playing as her theme music but no way would Nintendo go that route over generically rehashing the same Xylophone synth garbage they have been making someone sit in a studio and make for family friendly sounding profit motive. Now don't play the game by playing her game - aggress forward and overwhelm her with chaos.
Rapportus5 I really enjoy it when people recognize people’s talents rather than excuse it as playing a lame character or playing a lame playstyle. You’re a good person, thank you!
All the people who complained about Dabuz playing the matchup correctly, CRY MORE. Your salty rage tears are so delicious Props to Dabuz and Rosa mains
@@anudistsjury u mean a player that plays a lowerid tier character and trying to make the most of it instead of being like all those no name top tier whoes? Yeah I love cheering for him too
really? maybe its the fact that luigi is the most cancerous character to play against where he can zero to death or kill confirm up b off d-throw. You don't scrap with luigi at top level, that's just asking to lose. Luigi deserves to be camped out every game. Terrible character design that forces the opponent to camp.
yeah.. people say Luigi is mid tier or whatever but personally, I've never believed in tier lists. Luigi is one dangerous dude and when i play against him i respect every move he has cuz I'm not fucking with it. Every attack he throws combos into another attack - needless to say - If Luigi lands one grab or stray nair, know that you're eating either 30%-40% or a stock as long as the Luigi knows how to convert. Trade with Luigi twice and you're at 65%-80% (which is right where he wants you for an easy down throw-upB). There is no such thing as an even trade with him, you've gotta either get in/get out or risk eating a combo from him. Dabuz was playing pretty good sneaking in extra %s so often with the Luma sideB, because everytime Elegant got close to Dabuz, he paid for it.
@@shepeh2416 easily gimpable, yeah, but one wrong move and you're catching a dair to the dome, man. he can throw out like 3 dairs before losing any jump height. i play sheik so that's why i speak with such defense, because I'm in danger range with anyone 70%+ so i have to know the dangers of everyone i never said luigi was the best because i don't believe in tier placements. however, i did say he was dangerous. more specifically, i will definitely say Luigi is one of the most volatile on the roster. he can explode at any second because everything he spaces with combos into something else. low knockback uair, high hitstun nair, low landing lag fair, the bair is self explanatory, and amazing dair? i don't even need to say any more, if any other char had his nair they'd be busted. imma just say falcon with luigi nair would be busted.
Carlos Guzman so what? It was 5 games so the average is 5 mins; a normal match time. I’m surprised that it wasn’t longer cuz lol Dabuz and he’s fighting Luigi.
damn, so you really out here judging someone over something negligible because you feel the need to enforce your strict perception of what masculinity looks like? couldn’t be me 💀
@@vxel No shit people are judged. There are sociological and psychological and physiological norms. Are you not going to judge someone if they run around with half their cloths missing and shit running down their leg and call them crazy? You sound out of touch with reality. He isn't a woman.
running around half naked=/=wearing nail polish. what you said is the textbook definition of a slippery slope fallacy. it was probably something his gf put on for him and he was like “haha i’m gonna keep this for frostbite.” and even if he put it on himself, who cares? it really ain’t that deep. there’s absolutely no reason why you should be so resistant towards guys wearing nail polish. i don’t know if it’s your own fragile masculinity or if you’re just super resistant to any kind of change, but either way i just don’t care anymore. normalize boys with nail polish 2020 because absolutely no one cares about “norms” 💅🏽💅🏽💅🏽
Rosalina really ain't that bad at least we can't know until we see more of her still i think. But i still agree with the fist bump thing, and yea still was a good set despite all of that lol
Dabuz is a great player and he’s playing extremely cautious because he knows Elegant is an amazing player. He’s loyal to the character and does his best with her, even though she struggles with MANY things. I’m sorry you can’t find enjoyment watching this but I found it interesting how methodical Dabuz is with his playstyle. Instead of just saying it’s an annoying playstyle and / or character try to recognize the decisions they had to make in order to succeed
