@@KP-lq2hz Marss Zss is completely different though knowing the matchup isn't really enough especially since Marss knows the match up too but idk what happened ig marss just doesn't really know what to do against his fox
Super glad that Paser could finally come to an American SM, and show off his prowess. Besides Leo or Light, he is arguably one of the best in the world at the ZSS matchup due to how many of them are in Japan. Also very interesting seeing how he contracts with Light. Light plays a very aggressive almost drunken mad man style of Fox, while Paser plays a far more elusive and restrained Fox
Yeah you could see how many of the options Marss threw out was to cover a jumping in Fox, but Paseriman just sat in shield and punished accordingly. And of course had reads on majority of his tech chases. A very intelligent, yet elusive Fox, indeed.
i thought the same thing while watching this set. but u cant really fault him because before paseriman there were not any foxes on lights level and since marss plays light so much it makes sense some habits would pop out
Paseriman lived in region(Kanto) with many great ZSS(Kuro,Choco, shky…), had a lot of ZSS experience, had high win rate but…Marss also had high win rate against Light and won recent GENESIS so I'm pretty surprised and glad because I didn't expect him to win straight. Let's goooooo
ZSS has the third best results, and it's not strictly one player or one region. To see her as anything other than thoroughly top tier is just silly. Tbh it was kinda obvious from the very start of Ultimate.
@@michaeldavid145 Again, Paseriman is the best Fox in japan (an OP region) and like every japanese player...he is GOOD in the Zss MU. Beating Leo doesnt make you and invincible god, he is a human who makes mistakes and has ups and downs. Marss is in 17th and he is still in losers, is not like he is out at 65th or anything.
ZSolid DanyS paseriman is not better than marss tho, marss is a better player so it’s still shocking. It’s still quite an upset considering going into this tournament marss is one of the players who can win the whole thing and paseriman is not
@@alfanauta Yes but Light has a very different playstyle than Paseriman, he knows light playstyle and habits because he personally KNOWS light. Paseriman is something new to him and he has played at least 3 different zss players before Marss with different playstyles, one of them similar to Marss (Kuro).
MrPapygeek japan uses ZSS a lot so their understanding of the matchup is far better than most other scenes. Mars struggled because paser wasn’t falling for his usual tricks like trying to punish his side b and hitting his shield and sitting near flip kick range. Loss probably will make mars have to re-evaluate the matchup
