_______________________________
We're going to learn a simple technique in Photoshop to create a frosted glass effect.
We will be working non-destructively with some filters, and then clip the effect to a rectangle layer. Finally, we'll add some text and blend it nicely with the glass effect.

Hello, the effect is really awesome. How can I save the effect as a png, for example to make a chat in a stream illegible, as in your video at the end. basically as a transparent overlay for a certain area. Thanks

If anyone is having problems moving the rectangle around, press ctrl+t and then move it around

Great one, thanks! However, I wasn't able to make the mask movable as you did. The symbol didn't appear when I dragged the layer over the others holding the option key. Any tips please?
@2-minutedesign
@2-minutedesign Год назад
Don't drag the layer, only hover the cursor between the two layers while holding the Option key
@wolfamri
@wolfamri Год назад
@@2-minutedesign Ahhh, thank you so much. I totally misunderstood. I‘ll try that. I wonder, I‘ve never seen that done before. What would you call that, since it is different to how you usually make masks? Either way, thanks again!
@2-minutedesign
@2-minutedesign Год назад
@@wolfamri it's called Clipping Mask. Works a little bit differently than regular Layer Masks. It basically uses the content of one layer to control the visibility of another :)
