I was already planning/hoping for an organizer from Smonex and skipped BT's for the kickstarter. I really like the one I have for Gloomhaven. They've been great to interact with and seem to have a lot of passion for what they do.
Smonex definitely has best GH insert, imo. Just a shame it came out so late compared to all the others. Go7 makes good inserts too, but I dislike how their GH one requires you to not only remove original class boxes, but open them and spoil their contents as well. If Go7 does get the nod from childres, I hope they don't repeat that design at least.
Job postings looks a lot of fun. Reminds me of sidequests in RPGs too. Flowchart looks great, it will be easier to see which scenarios are available and which not. As FH is a long wait through the winter, I am looking forward to Crimson Scales expansion. I hope it comes in October latest. James, what do you think on Agemonia kickstarter btw?
I've heard of it but haven't really looked into it. Will be a Patreon poll for a Kickstarter vid to do later this month I'll make sure to add it! Any others you are interested in that you want me to add to the voting poll?
Re: the wall - bulletin board, yo! Hang that on a nail in the wall, what you could pry out and fill in no problem, and just put the chart on said bulletin board. Along with any other Frosthaven swag!
I totally get that this new system risks dispelling some of the mystery, but I think that it will be offset by being able to track progress much more easily. I had a party that I would play solo and a party for my group and it was SOOOOOO hard to keep track of what had happened with each group and to plan out what we wanted to do next. It looks to me like they really thought through how to address those problems while minimizing spoilers.
I personally don't understand the whole sticker thing. Is the art on the stickers important somehow? When my group plays we don't even look at the stickers at all. We would rather just have a completed map we could look at than have to bother with putting stickers on.
I think it just comes down to mysteries. I personally like it when a story unfolds. It's not a huge deal but seeing locations does make a difference and not being able to see them until you journey there feels more exciting to me. More like discovering unknown lands vs seeing an already filled out map
