If you speak to Estinien after the nixie summoning, he says he finds it hard to imagine Yshtola as a child. And it would be far more conceivable to imagine that she popped out of one of Master Matoya’s cauldrons fully formed 🤣

I geeked out so hard when I saw this last cutscene... I've been floating a theory since the end of Endwalker (and after doing the Reaper quest) that the reason Zenos was so strong is because the Voidsent that he made a pact with when he became a Reaper was the shard of his own soul from the Thirteenth. This would effectively catch up his soul to ours after we merged with Ardbert. And then I thought like, what if the 13th Zenos is actually going around to the different shards, making pacts with the owners of the shards of his soul so that he can absorb them when they die in a quest to become complete. And then I realized that was the plot to that Jet Li movie, The One, lol.

Im still in the ropes about this. When Zenos devolved back into his own form, his arm was still a "voidsent arm". So something went wrong there. They did that on purpose. Now that particular voident he made a pact with is back in the 13th. And the line "Back to a world bereft of saviors" or something. I wondered what kind of voidsent he made a pact with. A shard of our souls, a shard of his souls, or whatever. My question is: Who is that voidsent? Shard of Zenos, is it Zenos himself having taken over the voidsent with his stolen echo, is it our shard? It's clear that it's the same voidsent. Too many questions, too few answers. But I can't wait to go the 13th. Since I went to World of Darkness when I started playing the game I wanted an expansion that deals with the 13th. And I hope the next expansion as well as the patches of Endwalker lead us there. And Meracydia of course.

That at the end was Zenos' Voidsent avatar. So it's really interesting since Zenos is gone. Is it a shard of Zenos, since it's his voidsent? Or WoL's shard since we dreamed about it?! Also, that knight we saw in the earlier video is villain from FFIV. Same for the elemental thrones that were talking. Super cool stuff. So yeah, anyway... WATER, WATER, FROTH & FOAM!

if you did the warring triand and all shb role quests, including the bonus ones. You get two cool flashback callbacks during the scene where Y'shtola talks about the reflections and calls back to Emet. Highly suggest you do those. Another cool thing is Atomos were there in 1.0 and crystal tower and it did summon voidsents.

The creature at the end, you've seen it before. Think back to when zenos hijacked your body, and went to attack your friends. He summoned something out of himself, a voidsent. The one that he bonded with as a reaper. Looks an awful lot like that creature at the end don't it? XD

her Japanese voice actor is Darkness from Konosuba too and sounds funnier with JP VA.

I love the characterization of Estinien. The no-nonsense, gets stuff done type. Lots of situations where he knows he's less knowledgeable about what's going on, so he lets others guide where his lance must go. And then there's situations like this, where he knows *exactly* what needs to happen, and he marches off, and makes it happen. He is the epitome of a dragoon playstyle: when you find the clear objective, you jump on it, and get the point across in as efficient a way as possible.

sad you didnt do the Zhloe custom delivery questline, a third option to directly speak of an orphanage funded by custom goods is available.

It's not so much a questline as it is unlocking it. I just got it last weekend and did a single delivery, which gave me the option for Vrtra

When offering ideas concerning the orphans, if you've done other gatherer/crafter side content you can mention that both Idyllshire and Ishgard use the trade of their luxury goods (mainly created/gathered by you for Custom Deliveries) to fund their respective orphanages. It's why the first line there mentions taxes.

Recently got a couple of the alliance raids for roulette. The atomos you fight there have a whole new meaning after this patch. O.o oh and you fought a giant nixie in matoya’s dungeon, the music there was the alien/jungle book elephant-like music you noticed. They just pulled it back in as a reference. Still loving watching your journey together

Fan Service shared watching Y'Shtola go thru the words, actions of casting spell to bring forth minions under her control. This worked in the moment & I hope we will see another scene in future of Y'Shtola in action casting a spell.

Defintely love the direction this is going, even more how Y'shtola is showing her cuter side :) One thing i had different since i was playing a Reaper was that when they were discussing means of summoning voidsent they mentioned how my method is "the exeption on that rule" meaning Reapers might have more lore coming in the coming arc. So whenever it is they continue the MSQ, try doing it with a Reaper, i would't be suprised if there's more comments like that hidden away somewhere. And as some already said, the dark figure at the end is Zenos's Voidsent avatar, making me wonder what its role in all of this is.

Right on man. More Reaper lore would be sweet - just started levelling mine now 😁 Reminds me a lot of Frost Deathknights from WoW which I also alted for a time. Hyped to try it in PvP also!

NOAH = Nominated Observers of Artifacts Historical, created by G'raha Tia. Named for an ancient archmage, as G'raha tells us-- this is an FF3 reference to the keeper of the original Crystal Tower. NOAH was the expeditionary group the Warrior leads into the Tower for the CT raids. ALSO: If you did the Warring Triad, there is a whole other section of review in the cutscene about that questline from Y'shtola.

The water summoning she did was so comical. Almost as funny as when vrtra shows up to see whos breaking into the vault and you tell him yshtola did it and she gives you that look of pure murder. She's been great this patch :D

Notice how when Y'shotla is talking about how it could lead us to other reflections and how she means to be there every step of the way she's talking to the camera! That was such a cool moment. I hope it's true though that she STAYS and they don't decide to kill her off... NOT OUR SHTOLA D:

If the Cloud of Darkness isn't an Ancient like how Artemis was turned into Eden I will be a little surprised. It seems like the obvious fit too me. Even though the Ancients story is finished, I still don't think Ultima Thule was the last we'd see of them. The Voidborne possessed Zenos at the end amuses me a lot, some people are going to be like "Oh god not again." But it would be funny if we saved him or something, either way it runs similar to the Reaper role questline with the grandfathers body being possessed, I forget the exact details but I am sure there was something of that grandfather in the body that interfered during that final encounter.

I use a program called Bandicam (registered version). Great little recorder! I've just botched the mic settings lately after accidentally unplugging the mic etc. 😩 All fixed going forward though!

The real question is - is the 13th stuff we are seeing here the prelude to the 7.0 MSQ or is this just the "side quest" between the major expansions? (Or are they creating a new paradigm for expansions?) The idea that the 13th is a "useless void" is interesting. The Ascians made it useless to their goals, but that seems to suggest - what with the way the 1st was going - that it isn't flooded with Darkness but that some other outcome has occurred. The 13th has to be different to the fate of the 1st that we reversed, and the characters revealed there suggest something else has indeed unfolded. Perhaps the world is less "Flooded with Darkness" and more "Bereft of Light" - so the 13th will not rejoin because the conditions were set wrong.
