This would have been SO GREAT!! Disney stop making everything like cotton candy and soft served ice cream. Give people Black cauldron and Sword in the Stone, dark disney with a gentle light of hope is way better.
megan smallwood you know what I've been thinking? If Disney made its own version of the Harry Potter movies, animation or live action, it doesn't matter. Like it'd still be dark, like we love them, but like less dark because of all the songs they'd make! 😍 Have you ever craved something you never had? Because that's how I feel about this idea! And yes, dark Disney is flippin' awesome! 🤩
This is not just a deleted scene. This is a deleted story that never made it into a movie. A scene just shy of 3 minutes has enough intensity to rock your emotion that would reverberate throughout the entire story. Imagine how great it could be if not being thrown into a trash can.
It was a totally different story. Honestly frozen 2 should’ve been about these two, but as Elsa and Anna’s parents, but as whole new characters it would’ve made more sense
This scene was probably part of a completely different story, The deer man, how Iduna has an Arendalle cloak, how no one bats an eyes at a Northuldra girl after they start fighting, heck she might not even by Northuldra, the voice isn’t Iduna’s. So they didn’t change it for no reason, most likely the story changed and they had to give a new beginning
Well, you can get to know about it. There is a book being published called "Dangerous Secrets: The Story of Iduna and Agnarr". Disney considers it canon. So GO FOR IT!!
my theory : I think Iduna was supposed to be the fifth spirit, she voiced the siren after she heard to be saved by the spirits and get on the wagon to Arrendelle. She knew how to get to Ahtohallan without powers, I would say the mother was one of former leader’s friend. Young elsa didn’t heard the siren since her mother have not died.
I wish they had this in the movie it really deepens the backstory of the parents and then adding that hauntingly beautiful voice as they’re taken away just adds even more feeling to the queen as she calls for her mother
Idea: what if that voice that wings after Iduna's last cry for her mother WAS her mother? What if she was the daughter of the fifth spirit and then had a DAUGHTER be the fifth spirit? I know we don't anything about that kind of thing, though. It's a just a theory
Honestly, this could be the best scene in the movie. It's so emotional and kinda dark, but in a good way. Disney should make a whole movie about Elsa and Anna's parents story. Also great animation!
I got an opinion, remember when young Agnar lost his father who fall into the hill when had a battle with a women in the movie? I just thought, maybe that women was Iduna mother. Anybody had a same opinion?
Its a great scene, I wish they'd kept parts of this but I see why they didn't keep it. They said they redid the prologue so many times because elements of the main story kept changing. Had they kept this, the voice Elsa hears wouldn't be Iduna's, Iduna would never have saved Agnarr which explains Elsa's power, Mattias wouldn't have a woman on the outside, the indigenous reconciliation plot would have been affected and they would have had to spend a whole bunch of extra time explaining who exactly tf the reindeer man was lol
I kind of got a writing inspiration from this where Iduna is a native girl and Agnarr is the son of a soldier. It is set in WWII (the war between the two communities) and Iduna is sent overseas.
I have an idea for an origin story for the Fifth Spirit: A malevolent spirit was attacking a Northuldral tribe when a girl fought back and was badly injured. The Wind, Fire, Water and Earth Spirits were so impressed that they decided that they wanted her as their leader and empowered her with incredible magic. Her younger sister helped her get a grip, kept her grounded and helped their people to accept her. At the end of their natural lives they merged to become the Fifth Spirit. This video has just the right vibe for that story.
Well the seen would have been distracting to the story and adventure of Anna and Elsa. Its about her power and Elsa accepting it, not about their parents past. There are great scenes that have been deleted, but that doesn't mean it should be in the film. I wouldn't even want an after movie, a prequel would be the best way to include these scenes that really explain everything. Plus the parents have sooo much history that would be so interesting watch, so I really hope if they made another- its just a prequel...anyways thats my opinion.
Am I only one thats bothered about Mattias age. I mean I can’t help but think since he was an adult when Anna and Elsa’s parents were kids, this guy should be like old like 80 or so in the film
Well perhaps in the original concept of Frozen 2 there was this Enchanted Forest's "spirit" that "ruled over" the other elemental spirits and their lands, keeping harmony, with great power to take whatever form he wanted, be it a human or a deer, as shown. That would make him the target of King Runeard. Runeard would believe that killing the spirit would get rid of magic and he could rule over the enchanted forest as well as Arendelle. Maybe the writers of Frozen 2 later found this concept too dark and emotional for children. And they changed it to what we got in Frozen 2. Personally I'm a sucker for dark stuff and would've absolutely loved this idea! But they know it better than me I guess 🤷♀️
I think that was the fifth spirit who was killed by king runeard and in the spirit gifted iduna for her selfless compact of saving angarr that her first child will be born with powers.
In my opinion the second Frozen movie should have been the story behind Queen Iduna and her husband or even the first movie is how Iduna became queen and the second is about Anna and Elsa.
So in this deleted scene King Runard did care a little bit about his son safety even if he was training him to become a tyrant still a little even if he did not love him mostly he still wanted to let Angarr succeed him as King
It’s probably a different story back then, the deer man, Iduna getting told to go back to camp and her having an Arendalle cloak, They take in Iduna even though she was Northuldra, the voice isn’t Iduna. Most likely part of a earlier story, but when they changed it they had to lose all those parts
You for 2 characters that should have had much more screen time and much more story to be told; they have neither of that, I did not even know that their names were "Angar" and "Induna" until the sequel. : /
