FROZEN GROUNDS - Post apocalyptic short film 

For some reason all my replies to you guys disappeared after I renamed the channel. Overall I'm just positively overwhelmed by the fact that some of you took the time to leave really good criticism, and I'm really grateful for that.

Everyone is so fresh and clean with recent hair cuts, new clothes, no signs of any struggle or survival. Looks like a few boy scouts out for an overnight camp.

Sadly, the plotline let it down. In such a world caution would have become second nature to all survivors, so the leader's decision to rush off impetuously was foolhardy. Entering the building, where it could easily be assumed trouble lay ahead, without the rifle was suicidal. Anyone in their right minds, coming across a mauled, dead body would have gone back for the rifle. Continuing, upon hearing wild animal sounds, and still not going back was ridiculous. Then running, whilst armed? These aren't small holes in the plot. They're major errors. The story would have been better served by letting the one boy go, while his two companions kept level heads. We could have witnessed the lead actor being killed for his stupidity and the other two boys killing the beast. Still... Overall, this wasn't a bad film. It was original and the acting was fairly good, in fact. Thank you for posting!

Entering an unknown environment in an unsafe world and leave your weapon outside. Find a recently killed person and continue. Hear beastly sounds and continue unarmed. Stupidity has its price.

Why would you leave your weapons and gear outside?

I think it was a awesome film, in a true survival situation everyone is going to be needed to make it. Of course many tactical errors were made. But still nice job.

Some good cinematography, establishing shots and the drone shots were not over done which was good. The only think that could be improved is the audio (especially the footsteps, clothes rustling) which sounds too loud as if it was filmed on a phone (maybe it was). Always best to sue a separate microphone with a dead cat/ wind screen. Keep at it - we are all learning this craft!

Not sure what they intend on doing with a pellet rifle but ok. Looked like a Diana #34 but somehow it shot a real cartridge..... hmmm
