The curse of the hobby store radio transmitters is the fact that they want you to believe that every plane can wonderfully be setup on six channels. You'll find and unlimited number of planes for sale with 6 channel receivers, how ironic! I've even had people proudly proclaim that six channels is all they will ever need. Very often these six channel planes are sold off to another hobbyist when the reality of a poorly flying plane falls short of expectations.
If we can move the ailerons to two channels, a whole new world of possibilities opens up. We can limit the amount of down-travel on the down aileron and this can help affect 'adverse yaw.'
When you have a receiver with a bit more channels than 6, and if we take our time to fight off adverse yaw what we get is a plane that's flown better than it's ever flown before. It's time to breath in new life into your lackluster planes!
