This video was so fun. It's wonderful to have family close by and you interact with weekly. The jello frugal Pin Wheels ??? was so fun to watch. My morning was filled with laughter watching you all! Sure glad I found your video's.
We used to go out on weekends for coffee breaks, but since I became more frugal I realized that making my coffee myself is more delicious and I get to save . It's also a good idea to invite a friend over as well. Times have changed and not everyone is able to go out for a coffee, but they enjoy being invited and I also enjoy being invited for coffee.
I love your channel so so much. You have gotten me through a very rough patch. I wish I could meet you because I would give you the biggest hug. Love to you from NJ.
I can watch your videos all day long and all night long lol. You got me addicted to watch ur videos. I have to wake up early in the morning for work but I'm still watching all your Playlist lol
Yumm the loaded chips looked amazing! I have been cooking more comfort foods lately as we haven’t gone out for dinner or gotten take away in 3 months so it’s easy to make exceptions when it comes to cooking at home for the less healthier meals sometimes!
Your niece is such a smart pretty young lady. You are so blessed with a wonderful family that there is no need to spend unnecessary money because everything you need is home. Since the pandemic I also stop getting my nails and hair done. My hair is similar to yours so I just wash and condition it and either have it in a ponytail or Gibson bun. I recently found your videos and I am enjoying all the frugal tips. I was spending so much money without thinking of the future. Now I plan to scrutinize any items before I purchase and make sure if I really need it? And stop using shopping to filled a void in boredom. Thank you for sharing.
What a great video of your staycation day w/ your niece! Such great ideas on things that are fun to do and eat w/o spending lots of $. That is so special that you spend time together. I sure hope when my nieces and nephews are adults they’ll want to hang out w/ me like your niece likes hanging out w/ you.
For a flavored coffee, use extracts like vanilla, almond, etc in the pot. Or,add a bit of ground cinnamon to the coffee grounds,or pumpkin pie spice. One trick is dollar general black cherry sparkling water instead of plain water gives good flavor, too.
Fun, fun to watch your videos Emmy! It’s what I need this days! I’ve been frugal all my live and I’m glad there are many pips out there that share the same values! 👍❤️
Hiya Emmy! Your niece is a smart cookie! She did a great job on your nails too. The frugal fail was funny, lol Those fries though...looked yum! That's nice to have family living so close.
Hey Sis! Always great to hear from you! Those fries were pretty amazing LOL. Yes I am blessed to have my family so close by. Have a blessed weekend my friend!
Loved seeing your niece. I have a sweet relationship w one of my nieces too. For iced coffee I make a super concentrated coffee (once a week ) w instant coffee, tiny bit of sugar, stevia & optional matcha powder. I use about 1/4 cup of this every day, and add about 1.5 cups of watered down almond milk. (don't tell my husband I've been watering it down!) (-:
Hi there! Really loved the fact you showed that jelly pinwheel recipe/experiment! I just tried a peanut butter keto bar recipe yesterday to see if it would b an acceptable swap for my beloved Atkins bars.. Which I love but oh so expensive here in NZ. And success! I tweaked recipe a bit and perfection! We have to b brave enough to experiment sometimes in the kitchen and in life I think!
Lol!! Thank you! I figured I’d give you all the opportunity to try it if you really wanted to LOL. Just keeping it real! Thank you so much for watching!
Yeah the rubbery fruit roll up wouldn’t work for me. I am sensitive to food textures. But it was fun watching you make it. Glad to know I’m not the only one with food fails from time to time. 😂
we just love you Emmy! The pinwheels looked tasty because I like the fruit rollup chewy things). My favorite is your gel nails! They look so fantastic. I can wear them about three months then my nails feel sore, so I grow them back out natural from time to time. but this way, the price her manicure must be somewhere less than $10!
You are beyond kind!! Thank you!! Those pinwheels were beyond fruit roll ups. They were like little fruit tires LOL😂. Yes, that little gel kit she had worked wonders!! Thank you so much for watching and all the support!
A coffee hack I wanted to share with you is to add a light sprinkle of cinnamon to the coffee basket before brewing. Makes an economical specialty 'Viennese' style coffee. Nice in cooler months if you like cinnamon! (Still catching up on your videos! Lol!)
What a great day it seems you had with your niece! Maybe you weren't supposed to melt the marshmallows into the Jello....I don't really know. But I ALWAYS love your posts! Love you, too!
You need to add more water and beat it with a electric hand mixeer/beater. Its 2 cups of water to amount of jello you used. We use to make this when I was a kid. Can just put it in a bowl too. Also, add one container of cool whip fold in if you put in bowl.
Good Morning:) Your niece is a very smart young lady :) I work with many young ladies her age and they spend money at Starbucks every morning :0 :0 so costly!! Your nails look so pretty!! I love that color :) It was so much fun seeing you make this jello :):) Wishing you a great 4th :)
I love it! I recently got a uv light and gel polish to do mine at home, too, and I’m amazed by it. Such a money saver! I also like to make breakfast burritos and put them in the freezer :) just found your channel and I love it! I make cooking videos. Have a great day!
Your niece is sweet to come for a visit and share her frugal tips. What a nice gel manicure-your hands look lovely. Is the texture of the Jello pinwheels like gummy worms?
Thank you so much Jeanne! You are always so kind! The pinwheels are a bit like gummy worms even chewier though...if you can believe that lol!! Thanks for watching!
It was fun watching you with your niece! She did a great job on your nails. She needs to come to SC & do mine! The nacho fries looked delicious (but i’d hold the sour cream since neither of us eat it) and the ‘fail’ isn’t necessarily a fail,. I’m thinking kids would probably love it!
Great video Emmy. Your niece is lovely. I have no patience in doing my own nails and feel like I would just make a mess. I need to do something though. :) Right now, I keep mine short and clean.
I make my coffee everyday at home. I went to Washington and had 1 cup of coffee through a Starbucks kind of shop. I didn’t even drink it all because it wasn’t good.
I love your videos!! Another good one -- I do have one question for your niece - The gel nails look great and I like them but does she have any good tips for gently removing the polish? Thank you --
I think, generally speaking, a lot of people confuse spending money with having a good time, and I think this thinking can be found in every segment of life: clothes, foods, fun activities etc. The sad thing for me personally is that I brought up my son without spending a lot of money. He was used to go to our local libraries, watch movies at home, home-cooking (every single day apart from maybe birthdays), be creative with what we already had at hand or just go out into nature and enjoy himself! Now he is 17 and suddenly his personal contentedness depends on money, can you believe it? He often says he can't do XY, because he doesn't have the money for it, but when we talk about it and I show him ways he can do something similiar without spending a cent, he doesn't want to hear it. I hope it's just a phase he will grow out of...
What a fun video and a treat to meet your niece, she's a smart girl!! My daughter spends a couple of hours on Sunday afternoons meal prepping and making ice coffee for her upcoming week, she says she can eat so much better (and spend way less $$$) making it herself. I can't wait to try those loaded fries!!
Im still watching and catching up. I have a question. Do you get credit if people on cell phones watch the ads? I heard somewhere that you dont but that doesnt sound right. I wasnt watching the ads because of that but you put ao much into the videos that I want to make sure you get at least the littl bit of ad revenue. I'll watch on my computer if it makes a difference. Thank you so much. It's great to see your niece making good choices at such a young age!
@@FrugalMoneySaver You are so sweet Emmy! It's the least your subscribers can do. You and Paul have the best advice. I've watched alot of frugal youtubers and some of them are really good. Still ya'll have struck a cord that inspires much more than the rest. I really feel like I'm hearing from a friend when watching your videos. You're straight forward and encouraging. Your compassionate but dont mince words. Whatever "it" is, you have it!
My husband got me a 60 piece full sized mixed lot of nail polish off ebay for $50,including shipping.might be a good holiday idea.they have many bulk lots,as well as actual makeup.you dont choose what you get.its a random assortment.
A frugal tip to add to this video would be: If possible, trade services. For example: If you are a hair stylist offer a hair cut in exchange for something else..like someone who mows lawns.... If you know a mechanic...ask if he would work on your car in exchange for something other than money; like some cooked foods or laundry or ironing. What about sewing... Lets say your trade is bookkeeping.. He can give your car a tune up or oil change while you do his taxes. Just a thought.
Would your niece be up to doing a slow video on the nails. We're they put on top of your own nails, which I have none. When they grow out how to take gel off ect. Thanks
They are not fake nails. It is just a gel nail polish that goes over your own nails. You remove the gel polish with a special nail polish remover that is specifically designed for gel nail polish.
The nacho fries look delicious and your nails look great. As for the pinwheels, children would probably like them because they eat those gummy worms 🤪 which I don’t like the texture of.
Me hubby drink two cups coffee day I buy wegmend brand half caffeine five dollars ninety nine cents we love taste and moremounzes in wegmend then maxwell house or folgers so we seniors mi buy two cans twelve dollars last just about month
I really wish I had been as wise as your niece at her age! When I was young, if there was money in the account (after rent, utilities, etc were paid) it was money to spend! I was much better than I could have been but I look back and think how much more money I could have saved in my 20s that would now have had 3 decades to grow in investments!
Hi Emmy, Can you share what you use for washing dishes such as the soap and scrubbers. I treated myself to Joyce Meyer Sponges and the occasional Scrub Daddy but they are not cheap.
Love your user name by the way lol! I use Palmolive Ultra Antibacterial dish soap to wash my dishes! I wait until it goes on sale and stock up. Love that stuff lol. I use regular Scotch Brite non scratch sponges. I am actually looking into the dish cloths with the scouring sides so I can wash them and reuse. I have to be honest not a fan of washing my dishes with cloths though...How did you like Mrs. Meyers? I'd really like to know. I am always soooo tempted to try it when they come out with their autumnal scents but I have resisted thus far lol!
Silly me, they are Debbie Meyer sponges....I guess that there is a Joyce Meyer. LOL. The sponges are amazing, they last a long time and stay fresh and the scrubber side is great for cast iron stick on mess. My mom used Palmolive Original Green. I love it too and try to stay away from Anti-Bacterial stuff because of my dry well. I love hand washing dishes, it is relaxing and I don’t like the idea of a dishwasher.
I got my nails done three times in my life.first time, ripped my nails off. Second time the fake nails came off within an hour.not salons fault.i have a weird genetic thing.fake lashes and nails will not stick. Third time, almost lost both hands due to a horrible infection.nope.that aint for me,clearly.its cheaper, and more hygienic to do salon treatments yourself at home
