White Bear Lake City Hall/Fire Station 1. Blower has gotten worse since it was last recorded. Likely has a very loose belt. Will likely be the next siren to be replaced next year. You can hear the 508-128 that replaced the Allertor down the road throughout the video.

Nice video! That sucks they will be replaced. I thought the controller upgrades saved all the old sirens from replacement, apparently not.

Presently it is mainly used as a warning for any sort of outdoor threat to the public, as it is an outdoor warning siren. It is mainly for tornado warnings though.

It would be awesome if they simply replaced the belt for the blower. If they do that they might as well change the oil in the blower.

That was actually removed and replaced by a new siren this year. You can hear it's replacement in the background of this video.

The 508 has the same rotator design as the thunderbolt with the only difference being direct drive motor vs a belt

I'm not sure. I am pretty sure the blower isn't spinning like it should, and is likely due to a belt that is stretched out and needs to be replaced

Actually, the one in Whitewater isn't reverse wired. It's set to chopper level 7. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-a_2uDFa60Xk.html Listen to the timbre and the wind-down in that video. It doesn't have quite the same sound as a reverse wired one and it also doesn't have that split-second "mute" as the blower shuts off.

@@Thunderbolt1000Tfan Yeah it was reverse wired and now the blower belts are smacking the blower since they are so loose and the collector rings have gone to sh*t.
