@@VKBOSS2 _ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT?_ lol did you hear it got cancelled? it was gonna be the NMA but they literally just deleted it recently. the 777X launched this year i guess (it had it's first flight, which I got to see in person! :D)
Thanks for making a straightforward video about this. I feel like you could save a person flying a plane who isn’t a pilot should the actual pilot become incapacitated. Simple, informative, and straightforward. If all instructional videos could be this simple ! Thanks , bro!
Don't forget that it is important that you know how to work the radio so you can talk to air traffic to get you vectors and help you to land. It could help save you.
I just started flight sims and this really helps since there is no clear in-game tutorial in flight sim x. This knowledge will come a long way after my transition to FSX to FS2020 ( cause I cant run FS2020 just yet) so thanks man! cheers!
I am using this in flight sim 2020 cause I couldn't find another video for it. Mostly still applies. Buttons are a little different but I got the hang of it. Thank you.
It's amazing how airliners in fsx sink like bricks upon landing while in Xplane you just have them behave like the real deal, smooth flying all the way to the runway. Couldn't try MFS 2020 yet, but I hope lesson has been learnt.
Autopilot is useful if you don’t connect joystick or game controller for any reason. Boeing 747 can do nice acrobatics with the autopilot, even little children can handle it, and they will be amazed. The plane is safe, doesn’t try to crash, if kids miss their moves, the plane may not crash.
Yeah, if you're wondering how to set them, might as well know how fast to go This is speaking from my own problems back in the day so I just want to help :)
Ok how to use autopilot and all but my nah wasn’t working. Thx so much. I was abt to fly to Singapore from Dulles nonstop going over Europe lol. It works now thx so much. 11:11
If I'm using keyboard and mouse (not joystick) how can I decrease the speed of autothrottle while controlling the yoke with mouse!? It's difficult to do multitask without joystick but still some people manage it, how???????
Great Video, now my plane actually going up! 😄 But it's going above the Altitude I'm expected to maintain. I'm supposed to climb and maintain FL240 (24000 ft) but the plane goes up to 27000 and keeps increasing, why does it do this and how do I stop it? Thanks, Marc.
I've not heard of this problem before. However, starting with the obvious, have you made sure all the correct autopilot is on? Including the Flight Director switch, Master Autopilot, Altitude Autopilot and the Vertical Speed Hold Selector is set correctly to about 2,000.
Your instructions are very good and useful , thanks for making this so easy for me .... but you know for me British Pronunciation is very difficult to cope up with ... anyway thanks
I see what you mean. I usually find them on Wikipedia. If you just search for the airport on Wikipedia, in the right column of its page, should be the ICAO codes.
So......... 1. The flight FD(pink cross) tells me where (ALT SPD HDG I set) to go (manually) 2. If I turn on the autopilot master switch, aircraft go to that ALT/SPD/HDG automatically. 3. If I made a flight plan data, and switch NAV to GPS, aircraft would follow the route that I already made. Right? Because I'm not good at English, I need your feedback guys
Why is it that when we change the altitude selector to a different setting, the nose just all of a sudden dips downwards or upwards very fast, that really confuses me, that doesn’t happen in reality does it?
I set my cruise altitude to 41000, and my speed to 0.77 mach, but my aircraft pitches up about 4 degrees. Any idea why that might be happening? Thought it might be trim, but I'm not sure. Great video!
FL410 is the service ceiling for the Boeing 737 series. It struggles to keep level there, and later. Don't go that High, could result in a deep stall. That level is used only for aircraft testing and isn't safe =)
For long overnight flight can I just turn on gps mode as you did then go to sleep for the night, let the game fly and complete my flight In the morning? ATC usually tells me to change my heading or altitude and if I don’t they yell at me and terminate my IFR flight plan. How do I fix the problem so I don’t have to be up every 15 minutes changing heading and listening to ATC?
It's certainly possible to do that if you don't use ATC at all. Otherwise, you'd need to climb to your cruising altitude, turn on LOC to follow the GPS and then they won't tell you to adjust anything. However, they will still point out traffic and tell you to change frequencies every now and again which will need a response
Do you use a entire setup or just a keyboard and mouse for this? If you use one of the ones that simulate the flight (like the throttle brakes etc.) what do you use?
I personally purchased the Saitek Yoke from Amazon.co.uk, however, it's available from a variety of retailers. You can just Google the name and loads will come up. Hope this helps!
There's no set altitude, speed or distance to switch it to manual. But 1,000 feet does sound quite far out still, it's usually done a lot closer to landing than you think
To be honest, I've never actually payed attention to that when ATC says something like that. Therefore, I don't know exactly what it means, but I'm sure you'll be able to look it up somewhere.
heading is like the compass direction so the direction the nose is pointing, and course is the direction the aircraft travels over the ground which means that it will travel in the right direction even in strong winds. its kinda hard to explain without a diagram but maybe search one up sorry
At around 8:33, why does the vertical pink line of the FD only shift very slightly left of center, even when heading is drastically off in terms of angle? The pink vertical line does not even tell you how much to roll the aircraft, right?
Actually it does move left and right, just much slower than the horizontal line. At 8:08 it's over to the left, if you keep watching to 9:38, it's more centre-right, and even before I made that right turn, it was centre. If you keep the central dot on the cross-hairs of both lines that will determine your rate or turn as well
But the pink lines do not indicate roll angle. When the vertical pink line is so close to center, it would be easy to center on them using only yaw+pitch.
No not angle, but it does indicate a turn, the bank angle always has the same maximum of usually 30 degrees. And a pilot simply knows not use the rudder on the air except in emergencies and some crosswind landings
@@jgsh8062 ahh I see thank you Kinda makes things difficult because sometimes I forget to update the autopilot and it straight up nosedives and crashed into the ground xD
