Yes I will update it. It looks like I'll aleady have it tomorrow. I guess it'll be an unboxing video from me then. I also get the other stuff I purchased online tomorrow, so I am going to get bussy :) heehe!
I believe it's never a good idea to use old settings (backup) with updated firmware because the old settings can corrupt new features. Every firmware update should be followed by a fresh start in programming your device, then do a backup. The backups can then be used within the same firmware versions.
Thanks for the video. Can you do a follow-up video with the new features like the coloured waterfall? I am still considering purchasing the FT-991 even though it's update the FT -991A is ready to order so I'm hoping the update also gives the 'real time sweep'.
