I’ve been watching you guys for a while, and I just love what you guys do. I mainly fly drones, but always wanted to fly fixed winged aircraft and watching and learning from you guys gave me confidence to build my own and buy a RTF. And I most def will buy this plane. Keep doing whatcha doing
Josh, I absolutely love my adventure I ordered from you about almost a month ago. I had a few minor problems but I guessed to correct them and now does it fly awesome. My 11 year old daughter is flying now with my help and she loves it. Also her and I just got done with your Master Series F4U Corsair and now her and I are building the P-38. Thank you for all that you are doing Sir. Be safe at this trying time as well as the rest of the Flite Test family!!
Av8tore71 that is so wonderful! I love hearing about families flying together. Please share sone pics when possible so you can inspire others. :) Blessings JB
I got an FT Adventure back when they were released. It’s a great looking plane. I haven’t flown it yet because I needed to build adapters for the servos to my AR6335 receiver. I finally got the plugs I need, just haven’t had time to solder them on.
Just out of curiosity, why two flap servo slots instead of one with internal push rods? Saves weight and money to go with one, cleans up the underside of the wing too. To my eye it looks like there's plenty of room for it to be mounted inside the fuselage under the wing.
Tell me what kind of grass it is :) Incredible plane! For the price - separate servos for ailerons and flaps, rudder, elevator and front wheel, floats, water rudder, two wheels sets, brushless motor, detachable motor cover and cabin hatch etc. I'm only afraid about big wing loading resulting in a high landing speed. And always you need decent airstrip for such small wheels.
Just got my FT Freighter in the mail yesterday! Just wondering, what is the smallest area that the Freighter can fly in? I'm wondering if I'll be able to fly it in my yard.
I just took it out to the field for the first time today. I have a few years of experience but I determined that my yard isn't big enough. Still a really fun plane to fly though. Thanks!
Gavin L. For smaller areas, high rates (flashing red) will give you roughly a 50’ radius. Low rates is about 100’ radius. Love passing the transmitter with that little guy. :)
I put a 2s850 in mine for now. Had to wedge it in semi-permanently in the cabin proper to get CG, but CG I did get. Leaving mine in trike config. I might just put the floats on the Long EZ I'm gonna build soon!
Flight test can you point me in the right direction? I'm looking for flap servos and a Y adapter. I've got my plane together and I'm interested in adding the flap servos, but your store says backorder. I'm having a hard time finding 2g micro servos on ebay and the Y harness. Can I use 2.2g or a 1.5g servo? I'm new to the hobby and could use any info you might have. Also what's the proper term for the y harness/adapter? I think it would help if Josh added to this video adding the optional flap servos, and also flying with the optional flaps. Im just curious I've never flown anything with flaps, is that more for just smoother landings or what would the benefits be for adding flaps.
Also do i want positive expo or negative? In the video i think you have positive, but in the directions it says negative 30. I'm using a spectrum dx6i transmitter
How would you compare this to the UMX Turbo Timber or the HZ Sport Cub S for aerobatic maneuvers? I've flown both (only in the sim) and I am looking for a micro that can do a bit more. An inverted loop would be nice. Thanks.
ordered the ezfly premium set up from flite test tech on the 8th. Took my money but didn't ship. I called and emailed multiple times but no response. no problem in the past ordering from the normal flite test store but not good so far with this new site. Hope the work this out.
FYI, the AR636 is no longer available at Horizon / Tower Hobbies. The replacement is the AR637T (AS3X w/ Telemetry). You may still be able to get the 636 elsewhere. (a Google search shows it on Adorama and eBay).
Were can I get the information so I can down load the flying program to down load the flight setting to my sd card and down load it to my dx6 transmitter
I have the Flite Test Beaver. I have flown it off land and water and it flys great. It is especially fun off of water. These planes are winners👍 I am anxiously awaiting the Widgeon.....
Matthew Smiley's Aviation Center thanks so much for the kind words. We are going to improve with every new release. Whole new, but very exciting chapter.
I need some help and input from the flying community. I have two airplanes that cant be fixed to fly. I dont know how to pick the right props for motor etc. And dont know what size would be good to build as far as a foam board build.
Hi ..I south African living in china ,,,I have been building planes with a china foam board,, this they use for external adverts.it is water proof with a thin plastic film on outsides ,,,this can be peeled off where needed.I have recently build a fling wing with Rudder control servo, ailerons and elevator mixed with 2 servos,+ 3 full retracts the plans I got and worked from is the Northrop_X4_Bantam found on the outerzone.uk site, the designer did a very good job with easy to follow dimension's, this plan was done as a slope soarer..but I have put in a puller motor and retracts...It does fly and look good ....CG.is spot on ,I hope that FT group would look at this plane and come up with this as 1 off their foam board design.
nice, but one problem have, this plane have too smal newbie first time uses plane not can cotrol good wery small plane, need be big plane then can training first fly lot better, small plane have too guikly and hard controll to fly. all have wery guikly and little move RC stick plane go guikly wrong. newbie first time fly need be big plane, have slowly and if move stick no move guikly all plane crash. this plane have big(small) joke only. not realistic can learn fly small plane WP need be more than 1000mm thencan learn lot better how fly.
