The best thing about foambaord airplanes is how easy it it to make quick modifications! So let's try adding some endcaps (kinda like winglets) to the FliteTest Mini Scout and try out a 4 cell LiPo battery.

My scout with the correct motor and a 10" slow fly prop is brilliant. Took out the dihedral, increased the rudder a half inch and this plane floats. Slow low flybys and touch and goes all day long.

probably kinda late, but i added flaperons to mine, and it flies quite a bit slower with those down, and the roll control helps keep it in a smaller area. just don't go to crazy with your flap deflection, and be ready to counteract a little adverse yaw with the rudder. still flies really nice.

Take the prop off and throw it until it glides nicely ..... Then power fly it ......... But , your multiple alterations and modifications are interesting and educational ....... Good Video !

I recently created one from Scratch, make several mistakes, but, after 5 tries and crashes, it flew.... beyond my transmitter reach.... I miscalculated the necessary space, used an empty terrain in an urban zone.... I lost my first and only plane, with all the electronics, perhaps in some roof.... I'm not sure if build another Mini Scout with all I learned... but realized that what you said of the tail too, I put a small part of popsicle wood to give strength to the tail, it helped a little....
