That's a nice looking shifter. Looks stock. And I definitely like that lockout function, seems way more convenient than stock. I actually installed a 3-inch extension to get longer shifts since I had trouble downshifting. For example going from 6 to 4, I'd sometimes end up in 2nd. I drive a truck with a 10-speed manual where the shifts are way longer than most cars and after a year of daily driving my BRZ I just couldn't get used to it.

Would be dope of they brought back steering rack mounted manual shifters with H patterns...that was sick...my family was fortunate enough to have an old skool fiat embassador back in India with one...that thing was hella cool

This is a lot of work if you dont have any equipment. How much is it if you get it installed at the shop?

When I installed mine the shifts are extremely hard. Its hard to get into gear.

This does not retain the rubber boot, water is going to get through there, right ?

I could only imagine how this feels with the MTEC springs and stiffer trans mount bushings

i got it installed on my car and just an fyi, its kinda loud and can have a light metal on metal rattle when driving the car fast at high revs.
