FTX DR8's Epic Off-Road Adventure in the Welsh Valleys ,
Hey Guys Join us for an epic off-road adventure in the Welsh Valleys with the tough and rugged FTX DR8! In this video, we take the DR8 to Clydach in the heart of the Rhondda Valleys for a brutal ground bash and a dip in the river. Watch as we push the DR8 to its limits, tearing through dirt, dust, water, and grass at full speed.
But the excitement doesn't stop there! We also had a close call with a group of walkers, as the DR8 nearly tumbled towards them. Luckily, we managed to avoid them and continue our wild ride.

@@ChriswithaCrc hi chris there is 2 places near my mums where i grew up in plymouth one is like a woods area with loads of grass loose surfaces and if i remember a couple of jumps and the second is near a river thats about 2 inch deep with loads of loose gravels so your video has got me thinking. and yeah i have had mine wheelie and tumbles and it always comes back for more. shame the weather is so crap for the whole week as could of got out with my rcs. peter

As anyone else got the v2 version a fancier chassis and rear alloy brace already fitted the black alloy one..also the chassis got white swirls on it most others i seen jus the plain black

hi chris i cant find any info on it but i no on instructions it says v2 in top corner ..the back plastic bit as been replaced with the black alloy one already an the the chassis got a few ribs on it plus a fancy partern with white swirls..this chassis not on ftx website either jus the plain black one...csn send u a photo if u wnt to

Hey buddy , Yeah its a monster of a Rc ! , Love this truck so reliable , As for bearings ive had no issues at all it just does what it does , i then bring it home , Clean it with a Hose and Dry and then GT85 Everything no worries or stress just works . Not like my Arrma trucks the bearings on these seem awesome . Thanks for watching mate , Really hope your well and had a great easter Chris :)

Very tempted for one of these. I have my crawlers rally car and mt10 but something about these. Think id be well happy with 2 good 2s batteries in it so i would lol time and w goid place to run it would be my problem 😄

I love my DR8, I've had it for about 2 & a half years, I use it a lot & I'm not kind to it. I recently fitted a Rocket 4092 motor to it... I can't believe I'm saying this, but it might have too much power now. 😉 😉 😂 😂 It was a bit of a handful with the stock 4074 motor, it's ballistic now.! Gutted I've not got it anymore now mind , but do have loads to get on with for now and two new RCs coming can't wait . She most definitely a Ripper buddy , Yeah ive had my head down with the rest of the cars and really needed to get the DR8 out for a bash . Yeah trying to work out how to fit the wing securely is the key so when it does take a tumble it stays put . Thanks for watching and supporting mate really do appreciate it honestly . Maybe fit the hub extenders to improve cornering stability. They're dirt cheap on Ali Express.

Like form around can , otherwise it will be to big and also remove a small part of the heatsink so it doesn't interfere with the centre differential cups .

@@alexscott782 hey buddy take the fan off and gently squeeze it until it fits then put the fan back on is what I did . Also I removed a little bit of the metal from near the driveshaft cup on the centre driveshaft. Hope that this helps dude .

Put mojave wheels on mine handles better transformed it with more grip

Ah good shout that buddy , that was my next thing to sort out , yeah ive noticed that the tyre are a tad slippery to say the least , having said that mind does make it fun to drive sideways at full speed lol . Thanks for watching also means alot . Chris :)
