I'm doing a ej20 swap into a old corona and am at wiring stage thanks for letting me know how to reconnect the alternator. Now to find how to reconnect the OBD2 plug the green and red wire and brown and white wire got cut near plug but car does run

May want to grab the factory service manual for your year/model and check the diagram for the OBD2 port. You can find a link to the FSM on Busaru.com/services/resources

This answered a couple questions. I have a couple left, though! Where does the small hose on the charcoal canister valve hook up? Vacuum to the manifold? What did you do with the crankcase ventilation hose connections coming out of the valve covers? Normally they would go to the intake box, but now that it is extreme left, it seems a little ungainly to do so. By the way, I got my engine installed last weekend. It was a huge moment for me! I found that the little KEP sheet aluminum cover between the adapter plate and the engine left two areas at each end uncovered on the EJ25. I think it is a little different from the EJ22. I had to fabricate a new one. Also, the adapter plate uses 8 bolts (in 8 holes), even though the instructions say 4. I called KEP and they confirmed this. I had a little trouble mating the block and tranny, but it eventually went with a little help from some bar clamps. Thanks, Mick! Can't wait for the next installment!

Oh, and the one way valve on the brake vacuum...is this necessary? I don't seem to have one.

I went back and reviewed your main site and got the answers I needed in regard to the vacuum connections. I'll wait for your next video for the other questions. Thanks, Mick.

Forthwith Tx Hey Forthwith, I'm glad you had a chance to review the site, it's probably the best source as I can only go so deep in a video series. I'm sure the brake booster one way valve is necessary. The Subaru hose has a small unit inline if you can find that hose from your donor car. I think its mostly a safety feature (if you lose engine power you can still have one or two good stops before you lose booster power).

Which number video in this series shows you installing the engine? I want to see how you mount it. Also, have you ever installed an H6 in a vanagon?

What kit did you buy or what size pipe for the intake pipe?

Ok, how do you get passed the fuel temp sensor, tank internal and external pressure sensors? The low level sensor could be ignored if you don't want an idiot light telling you your running out of gas.

Small Car makes a code canceler that satisfies all the sensors you mention
