I don't get why he took it off either. Maybe to clean the surfaces better or reduce the amount of gas spill.

I am having rough cold start on a stock d16z6 I changed fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs, distributer cap and rotor, and cleaned the IACV. Still cranks a while and finally turns over after the car is warm it runs fine could the FPR cause rough cold start? Thanks in advance for any advice

Or Code 1 O2 Sensor. Manual says to check FPR first

Troubleshooting fuel pressure issues, the car was running poorly after warm up.

@@VincentStevenson Wow! I have a 94 del sol and this may be the problem. Engine started to shake and soot coming out from the exhaust pipe when engine gets warmer.
