The methanol ate the compound around the windings. Please don’t reuse that pump. It could be very dangerous. You run the risk of shorting the windings internally. That with the methanol could result in very bad things. It’s not worth risking burning the car to the ground, just to make a test n tune.
Sorry to hear about that phong! I have seen the same issue here in Australia with that pump. It also shouldn’t be used longer that 45 minutes continuously or they over heat and burn up. You are the highest quality the best prepared of the crew and you deserve great results. Keep at it! I know you will achieve your goals.
My Boss once said, ("There is no such thing as a mistake, as long as we learn from it the first time" with a big smile) so "WE LIVE , WE LEARN" Keep up the awesome work Phong!! We are here cheering You on. And pulling out with You at the same time!! Slow and steady wins the race!! LETS GO!!!!!
Try emptying the fuel system after every time you run the car. then run regular gas through so it doesn't have the methanol in it for very long. You definitely built a beautiful car dude I can't wait to see her ripping right for you, it's gonna fly.
The Magnafuel instructions does clearly state its not compatible with methanol. It's only compatible with gasoline and E85. Should find a suitable replacement and not use the same pump again.
Things haven't worked out yet, but, you keep moving forward. You have great friends around you, you are going to get this. As Brent would say "Let's Go"!
Keep on it!!! You're building a real beast and even possible a record setter , sucls to see the setback but don't lose focus of your goal!! Badass builds.
This has such a Bad Ass Chassis. Without testing/runs you would have never found these problems. As with any new/untested builds there is bound to be issues. Find them one at a time and let the OCD work.. You are doing amazing work Phong. Stick with it and We know you have no problem staying positive!!
me and my dad run alcohol in are sprint cars we always got to keep up with cleaning the lines, pump, filters, and inj nozzles try spraying the lines out with wd-40 so theirs no fuel left in the line we only do that if it sit longer than a week before we run it next keep up the hard work cant wait to see it go down the track
Honestly Phong if there is some one that can solve problems it's you and I understand that racing part's are not cheap and you are a hard working bad ass m#!::√¥£=%✓ most people don't understand stand that it's a pocket build no sponsors that's respect right there congrats champ 👏
I would have hooked up the air compressor to the fuel pump outlet and blew it out. That should dislodge anything trapped in the media and allow it to function properly again. That is probably my favorite thing about my Aeromotive microglass filter, being able to clean it out and put it back together if it gets clogged for some reason.
Phon, that's happening for the nitro. You need a fuel pump that the fuel do not go inside the filement of the fuel pump. I have the same problem with mine in Puerto Rico and I was using dual AEM 400 fuel pumps.
great fault searching! that material is just glue, the isolation material is very thin "invisible" laquer on the copper wire. if that went, the motor wont turn a degree.
@@402motorsports4 when the car finally puts its power down on that track it's going to rip.. the title of the video needs to be called THE FLIGHT OF THE PHEONIX
Sometimes they also use resin to balance the motor, and even if not: with all of it gone it's probably unbalanced anyway. But it will run for a while just fine.
The race car stuff become harder, especially here in Colorado money hard to make I spent all I have into the race stuff that I try to keep the channel going, but now I’m stuck, no money, no team, no support, how can I do this, still a question!!
@@402motorsports4 Phong you need to sell merchandise. Do a pre-order of some t shirts so you get the money first and then you order them. That's how all these other channels make money and people will definitely support you that way.
